Not trying to be a smart ass, just curious: Would rubber well nuts hold up in a heat soaked environment like that? I'd imagine that plate would get COOKING! If they didn't melt, I'd imagine stress cracks and eventually failure?
They'll hold up better than the plastic rear exhaust diffuser. Remember exhaust systems on cars and bikes use rubber isolators and mounts all the time without issue and they are in brackets connected directly to the pipes.
Ah 100% right, I have had those exact rubber isolators you speak of on several bikes!
X-Acto knife - pop off any loose flakes. Sand with 200-300 grit. JB Weld Quick Dry Epoxy - brush it on. After it dries sand with 3000 grit. Epoxy. @Justtakea just send it to Jeff and he'll repair it for you. It may come back with a seemingly bizarre Fauvist painting on top, but his turnaround time is only a couple weeks
Make sure they are wheel centric with a lip. I don’t think 10mm are.Bought a set of 10mm spacers and tested on one front and one rear wheel.
pretty happy about the front, still undecided if the rear will be 10 or the next size up 13mm.
~ 10mm spacers are typically all hub centric... anything less is not hub centric.
I’d personally recommend the 13. I’m running 13 front and 15 rear and the larger sized rear looks great. At the end of the day it’s only a couple MM so either choice is great.
I will go with 13. In case in the future I want to swap them to the front and go wider in the rear. This is my first set of spacers in a car ever.
