Interesting read.Hi. I see you're new here. Welcome!
The vents are fake. Can't be made functional without tearing the car apart. Here's an article:
https://jalopnik.com/i-just-dont-believe-what-the-toyota-supras-chief-engine-1831838527.
During the reviews event, Tada-san said you can make them functional but only if you cut holes and add your own ducting. I really wish he would just stop talking about it.
I still don't understand this whole mirror issue. If we look at this with a purely realistic standpoint, the stupid (albeit pretty) mirrors on the FT-1 would make it impossible to see cars next to you.I like the it. Definitely looks more clean now.
Side rant: Taking away those awful huge BMW mirrors does make it look a lot sleeker as well.
I didn't say it had to have FT1 mirrors. They're huge, because they're huge. The new Supra isn't that small. It's only around 5 inches shorter than the old car. However, it's not too big of a deal for me, because they seem to be an easy fix. I wanna see if they are swappable with the E89.I still don't understand this whole mirror issue. It sounds nice in theory, but on paper it would suck every day having to strain to see cars, especially as we now know that the Supra's visibility is not the best. I would also argue that the mirrors likely look big simply because the car itself is very small.
I wasn't saying you specifically, I meant other people who have been clamoring for FT-1 style mirrors.I didn't say it had to have FT1 mirrors. They're huge, because they're huge.
