Why does the Supra not have remote start?

Mine has remote start. I toss the key to the wife and say "go start the car" . It's running when I get there. Works every time.

5w-30, Liquimoly Special Tech is what I go with. ?

You can add remote start thru FEMTO, but it’s so unimportant to have that I didn’t bother to do it when I unlocked my ECU/DME. So if you’re interested it’s an option to those that don’t want to tune their car for performance and just unlock it to tune it for remote start. ?

I’m also still also using OEM recommended oil from BMW so my Toyota is likely to blow up at any time…

Yes and no.

As of today, Femto highly discourages you from requesting this feature. There is coding involved and they offer zero support. It would be a nice feature to have, but as I'm sure has been pointed out before, we bought cut-price BMWs.. with features cut.

They probably discourage because many customers are clueless and they just don’t want to deal with it. I had the coding session from cloning vs unlocking only. I have been thru remote coding sessions before so for my personal situation it was no sweat, but I can see the trouble for someone completely unaware of how that works being a complete headache for FEMTO to educate customers just for a remote start feature that’s truly unnecessary.
