I thought that track was still under construction.
English auto-translated closed caption isn't great, didn't understand much.. they talk about noise and weight balance. Any highlights you can properly translate Ichi?
Car sounds great though!

Technically they're still closed to the public.

Translation? LMS...

Toyota Nurburgring Test Track
1 Lap = 5km (3.1 miles)
Elevation Change = 70 meters (229.7 ft)

About the track:
- A lot of blind corners and reminds of Nur.
- Supra goes well with this track.
- There's 2 lanes, but each lane have different angle/feel on the road.
- Due to different feel on the road, suspension, tires, brakes and electric assist can get tested.
- Can feel or not (in the air) where suspension moves and tires handling each corner situation.
- When you test the car on this track, you can clearly see pros and cons of the car.
- To go Nur in Germany is far, so test the basic here (Japan Nur) to get finer tuning at Nur in Germany. Instead of doing everything there.

About the Supra:
- Test drove all 3 Supras: RZ, SZ-R & SZ (RZ = B58, SZ-R = B48, SZ = B46), top model have the most power and everything on it match perfect with the car.
- So is that mean lower grade suck? No, that's not the case. SZ-R front rear weight ratio is great.
- Going through the corner, SZ-R is better.
- SZ-R is true 50:50 ratio.

About Toyota
- Toyota of course makes a car that's safe & easy to drive... at the same time, they still make a car that's fun to drive, it's part of your family, it's your partner, part of your body and appreciate they still make those cars.
- Hope to see more car like this (Supra).
- If they didn't make a car that's fun to drive, there's no point for them to make this track.

Interesting part is how they keep the B48 for the SZ-R and B46 for the SZ.

I think the B46 can be modded to same power levels as B48. The difference being that the SZ-R has active rear diff and SZ doesn't.

Toyota built a mini Nurburgring replica in Japan for itself
The track is 3.3 miles long, and is now ready for testing

Toyota just finished and opened a proving grounds facility in Japan with a Nürburgring-inspired racetrack as one of the main events at the complex.

"Based on long experience of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, which is famous throughout the world for its grueling driving conditions, Toyota has designed an exacting test course that takes advantage of local topography and features a roughly 75-meter change in elevation between its highest and lowest points, as well as a wide range of curves and corners."

Now, the test track isn't as long as the Nürburgring at only 3.3 miles in length, but Toyota was serious about trying to mimic the conditions. The whole course winds through a 2.5-mile wooded area filled with hills and elevation changes.

Akio Toyoda said this in a statement about the test track: "With the aim of making ever-better cars, we have continued to make various efforts in 'feeling the road' and 'conversing with cars' through driving tests around the world. With the replication of severe driving conditions at the new test course, we intend to thoroughly hone every one of our models and develop the types of cars that epitomize the true joy of driving."

Those are heady words for Toyota. The company has been serious about making its cars more fun to drive as of late, and this is one more example of that intention. This track is set to be a part of a larger complex that has various simulations of other roads around the world, in addition to a high-speed test track. It's said to have cost $2.68 billion to build, and while the Toyota Nürburgring is operational now, the entire facility will be ready in 2023.

It's hard to tell much from the limited photography provided, but the aerial shot definitely reminds us of the rolling German forests at the Nürburgring. Now let's just hope Toyota follows through and gives us even more engaging cars to drive.

That Turbulence Gray  I swear every time I see a new picture of the car in a different color I second guess myself.
Agreed. Initially I thought red, but now I think I'd be happy with any color except black, or matte gray. The car just looks good, and any color that highlights it's curves looks great. If you want to replicate as close as possible the graphite colored FT-1, turbulence gray is the color.

I'll take any color except Tungsten right now. Honestly the only color that matters for me is an interior that isn't all black. Fingers crossed for a Launch Edition...
