If it totally breaks you’ll lose all boost and turbo will stop whistling, that’s what happened to me. But my flap was totally missing and presumably shot out the exhaust lol
How long did it take the turbo to break on you?

Almost immediately. Like 3 days. First launch I did in the rain with burbles turned up.
shit, then there definitely was a bad batch it seems.

I got mine in feb 2024. Put 6000 miles with no problems.

what was your boost at when it broke?

Wouldn’t have been much boost. I think the crazy burble backfires is what broke it.

Good too know, didn’t know that burbles added stress to the turbo, running max burbles with bm3 ? Going to turn it down a few notches

Just wanted to chime in here and say I've been running this turbo for about 5 months now (11k miles) on E70. Haven't been on a dyno yet but running somewhere around 700-750 whp and this turbo has been flawless. I have zero regrets about going this route. Also using other Remnant products (PI Kit and Intake Manifold), all of which have been great. Alec has provided great customer service when needed. Definitely a stand up guy with great products.

No, definitely built trans. Running Pure Stg 1 with upgraded torque converter. It's worth noting I wouldn't go upgraded TC again for street use.

I went built trans on stock turbo and E50 tune, just too much torque to run it wide open through the 5-6th shift. Car hated me when driving hard until the upgrade. I haven't had a single hiccup since the new trans went in at 57k miles, now at 86k miles.

I don't but will re-run it this weekend. Was running stock rims w/ 285 PS4S's until about a month ago. I tried 60-130 several times but it just blew the tires off until 5th gear. If I had to guess, she's definitely in the 5's right now.

Now I'm on 305's so it should hook, I just haven't ran it yet. I'll get a good run this weekend and post back.

Still running PS4s's on the new setup but I hardly ever do dig runs. I'm still on stock axles and DS so looking to save them for as long as possible.

I was torn between having straight line grip or good handling. Also need them to last a while as this is just a quick street car, not a track car. Needed traction in the rain as well. I wanted it setup more for handling and speed rather than drag racing. I also want to get a spare set of drag radials that I can just slap on when needed.
