The Boxster/Cayman GT4 models are significantly more expensive than the equivalent “premium” models. Like the S or GTS models. Significantly more than $20000. Not sure why that seems like a good deal to you while the Supra pricing differences is apparently not.
Regardless, it seems you missed the point. Even at 10 years old, those cars are still much more expensive than a brand new Supra that has very similar performance. I can’t think of any “experience” that makes that a good proposition.
A well setup Supra is faster on track than a GT4 anyway.
But, you know "Porschiaaaa"

sorry to derail this thread. Somehow this became a Supra vs GT4 thread but that wasn’t the point.

In my opinion, the GR Supra is a very nice car for $60k. Heck, I even bought one. At $80k, the FE really needs more than a body kit. There are just a lot of better cars for what I would want at that price point and even slightly beyond. For $95k-105k, you’ll find plenty of low mileage GT4/Spyders to choose from, and that would be my choice. I’m simply saying is that the $15k gap between the USDM FE Supra to a used 10 year old GT4 would be worth it to me…again, to me. Meanwhile, a $20k gap between the normal premium GR Supra to the FE cannot be justified. If that’s not you, cool, have your cookie.

For me, it isn’t about being “faster”, hence, I bought a manual Supra and not an autotragic. I don’t live my life a quarter mile at a time. It’s about having an experience that justifies the price. Sometimes it’s a badge or clout (most of you Supra mutherfuckers included), but most times it’s how the steering, shifting, throttle feel, the noise and drama when ripping thru the gears. Can’t really put a price on some of these things.

It's not $80k though.
My bad, baby boo. I thought there was a screen shot circulating showing allocations (pre-mark up) for high $70s. Well, there has been no official announcements from Toyota so all this drama for nothing. Hope you get a hug today. If not, sending you some warm thoughts, Dan-o.

Well, I just read that the Dildo In Chief (yes he is a DIC) signed a bill to put a 25% tariff on imported cars and parts, so that $70k Supra is now $87.5k ?

That 2016 GT4 is looking better ?

All those imported cars are too liberal anyway. You don’t want them.

Plus the Supra promote DEI it is or a Japanese that identifies as German or a German that identifies as Japanese. I have not yet figured which one it is.

C’mon dude, we are talking about the USDM $80k FE.

If you think paying $95k for a 2016 GT4 is too much, but think paying an extra $20k for a non-serialized plaque “special edition” GR Supra over the premium version, we have nothing left to discuss here. Can’t make people smarter.
Why pay for those extra purdy bits on the new mac daddy Supra model when comparing one track car to another? I’ve got nothing against Porsche or Vettes. They are fantastic track cars. But their entry point is way more. Not to mention the cost for consumables & maintenance alone will save a ? ton every weekend.

Yes any track car will need some upgrades if you’re going to do it on a regular basis. Pads, tires & aggressive track alignment. Do the others cars come standard with a seat & harness? Even if so, it wouldn’t be that much $$$ to add. Even with the more expensive premium model & stupid driver assist package above, she’s way cheaper!

I think it’s a clip of two different exhausts… the first one sounds like a 4 cylinder w turbo and the second one def sounds like a B58 so likely Supra…
