I installed my AA Catted downpipe Saturday (March 29) and everything went smooth I went through the proper procedure stated by AA to prevent a CEL and didn’t get one until today (April 2) I get a CEL, I probably only drove less than 60 miles, I get a code for P0141. Do I need to contact AA, do I need to get a new sensor, or is this whole thing “normal” and will go away eventually, please help.

Some people have had success with the CEL going away after repeating the break in procedure.
I’ll try that. I cleared the code yesterday and started the procedure again. This morning, I drove it for two hours, and it didn’t have a CEL. I contacted AA, and they said it’s an oxygen sensor problem, not the DP.

I've had the same issue after 1000 miles with the latest cat version and AA is also blaming my O2 sensor. CEL comes back every 100-300 miles. I've seen multiple others that are also getting CELs with the latest cat. It definitely seems like it's a problem with the AA DP. Someone theorized the bung for the O2 sensor is longer than previous AA DP versions and is causing the issue.

I had this issue and they told me to replace the 02 sensor. I did that and haven't had the light come on since but there is a shadow code stored in the ECU. It just hasn't tripped the CEL. Some people the issue resolves itself, others replace the sensor to fix it. Seems to be inconsistent and it's the same over on the G8x forums too it seems.

The code hasn’t popped up since but if it does then I’ll replace the sensor

I keep reading that there have been CELs with the new cat and AA either doesn't respond or blames the o2 sensors.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I bought a new sensor that arrives tomorrow. The CEL automatically turned off randomly about four days ago and hasn’t turned back on. Regardless, I’ll replace the sensors and see if that permanently turns off the CEL.

Couldn't agree more, I have one of their older models and its been flawless (stock tune, JB+, JB4 and now MHD)
