Car is just about ready for WTAC.
Now has a mix of Verus front Aero and Sydney Composites wing and diffuser.

Power is the same with 650hp at the hubs.

Shaking down the set up over the next week and half then it's just a short 4000km drive to Sydney

How much $$ was the wing? And how long wait time? What size did U go with? Im re-doing aero, was about to mix AJH/Zebulon splitter + verus V1x but i looked at sydney wing too so im interested, maybe that is the path

Best to talk to them about pricing as mine was one of the first and I had to wait a fair while for the mounting kit to be made. Everything was amazing quality though.
The mounting kit came with jigs for drilling, and has bracing down to the chassis rails.

The diffuser is pretty special as well.

We initally built a centre exit rear exhaust section to get past it, then realised it's not legal for WTAC Clubsprint.

This was my overall best lap at Lime Rock. 1:00.372

Looking at the delta times I think I had a mid, possibly low 59 in the car if I managed to string it all together. I was running an older set of Yokohama A052s and this was lap 7 so they were definitely past their window, and the car drove like it. I need to get better at setting reference points so I can nail a faster lap earlier in the session.

Also definitely some spots I could have carried more speed if I was willing to take more risk

I am looking forward to driving this track again in the future.

Random question for you guys who compete in time attack events. I'm assuming that most time attack rules in the US are at least somewhat similar to those of gridlife.

So looking at the streetmod class for example, where the rules are:

• 200tw tires
• Aftermarket aero allowed
• No horsepower restrictions
• Full interiors required

Those rules don't exactly exclude monsters like the GT3 RS from competing in that class, which even in stock form is just ridiculous...especially the 992. Why do we not see more of those in those events?

Over here, there are so many of them, but the rules are a bit different. The GT3 RS is so damn quick that it has its own class.

I'm guessing you've come across a 992 GT3 RS on track and made quick work of it? If so, what do you know about the driver?

As far as time trials, there is an unlimited class any “street” car can compete in - down here in my neck of the woods (or swamp). The Corvette Z06 & GT3RS are both incredibly fast and in that unlimited class. For me, stock power, without aero and just on a square wheel setup, I can hang pretty well with the smaller Porsche models/kids. But I don’t believe anyone has a Supra quite like Bryan’s down here (that I know of at least), with a well modified & good driver combo. I wouldn’t be surprised, given the power to weight ratio, he’d do really well in that class.

You can disagree all you want but as you said, "Garmin lap times are public", the Corvettes are a bigger threat and the two flanking me in standings on Garmin are both on hoosiers while I am on 200tw.

Not doubting it in your area but what’s the power to weight of those cars and a similar 700+HP Supra? I know the GT4 class Supra does really well against the GT4 Porsche, competitively speaking. Granted they’d be rare and again, I don’t know of any in my area - it’s just too hot and most people lack the knowledge to coin ratio to make it happen.

I think I posted it a while back, British dude with the dumb look on his face that rebuilt a wrecked (and submerged) GT3RS. He actually raced Mick Schumacher and did well because the car was that insane! Mods make a huge difference when done right

Exactly! It’s just part of the equation and I’m sure you know he (and many others on here) put a crap ton of suspension mods (and aero) into their cars. I definitely would be calling foul if one of those was in my time trial class. I’m not that competitive but just sayin. There’s a guy on here with a S2K that’s fast as fock!! I certainly wouldn’t compare him to the average S2K guy out there. Also a friend of mine bumped his M3 into another class by adding more aero, tires, power, you name it. They all add up imo
