Sometimes I feel as if I'm not responsible/centralized enough for this car. Let alone someone else driving it (unless they're a professional or highly experienced). At least y'all made it out. Be safe.

As a one time thing, yes they do. Unless you claim theft and file a police report. Then any damages done by the stolen car would not be covered. But your car would still get first part coverage.
Yea but works differently here in Aus. Some policies are for listed drivers only. Like my Supra.

That's exactly how insurance works. You yourself are insured by your liability coverage. This would cover your damages to other people's cars, including when you are driving a rental or someone else's car. Your collision/comprehensive covers damages you cause to your own vehicle (at fault), or damages beyond other motorist's ability to pay - these coverages cover the vehicle and not the person. Why do you think dealerships copy insurance before test drives?

His friend's liability is absolutely the insurance that would be responsible here, because he is the liable and at fault party.

Wow glad you’re alright. You know it’s fubar when even the emblem pops off unless you removed it.

Everything’s more expensive in your state, but be prepared for a lower estimate than you’re thinking. Hope you can secure Sana2 soon.

Good thing he's in America. And the only way for that to happen is if he has "excluded" drivers named and listed on his dec page. Usually this is used to keep young kids from driving expensive cars and keeping premiums down for the policy.

Not true. Insurance follows the car, not the person. (Medical insurance though is a different story)
Liability coverage follows the person in the case of permissive use, which this would be. The clauses generally allow the unnamed policyholder to claim with your insurance, however their insurance is still going to be the liable party.

It's further regulated by the state of residence. Hawaii has some pretty unique rules and requirements as I learned during my 5 year residence there. 120 H. 329 (App.), 205 P.3d 594 (2009) applies here.

That's not how insurance works. It's called car insurance, not driver insurance.
See... I liked it more when he was banned for whatever reason... Maybe it was from mansplaining a mod lol
