Hi
Looking to run a AMS catted downpipe on my 24 supra mt . Has anyone running this AMS dp got a cel?

So I got a CEL once, but it was triggered by another error that happened when I was changing out my brake fluid. Which was user error. After I fixed that error the CEL went away and I have been driving it for 1200 miles and no errors.

I’m was looking at kenji catless which was also good since majority of people using it had no cell but I’m on the fence to go catless. I know AA do guarantees no cel but I notice people still getting a cel.

With AMS dp I didn’t hear anyone getting a cel except 1 person got a cel but went away and never came back . You think its worth going with a catted dp and spend $1400? Right now I have a armaspeed intake and awe touring resonated exhaust.

Anyone here running the AMS dp with intake, exhaust and tune or jb4?

We've sold plenty of them, never had a CEL for those. AA we've had a couple but they've been assisted by AA to make them go away.

We have both in stock. Makes a huge difference for the Supra.

Is there a noticeable difference between the oem vs ams catted? Can you hear the turbo more with the catted dp vs oem dp? I heard the catless there is a noticeable difference but I’m still debating if i want to go that route

I can hear a difference. Turbo spools and exhaust burbles are louder. Driving normally in a garage can also hear the turbo spool, kind of like a diesel turbo truck

I have the AMS Catted downpipe - expensive, but quality. I went from catless to AMS due to not being able to pass emissions in Illinois with BM3.

Its more muted than catless, but its louder than stock - the pops are loud and the power is still there. You pass emissions and don't stink of gas.

Go for it!

Yes you can tell the difference between OEM And AMS. Catless has more cons than pros in my opinion.

As a side note: In Southern California, smog check stations are required to perform a visual inspection of the catalytic converter, and if your GR Supra has an aftermarket downpipe or non-CARB-approved catalytic converter, it will likely fail the inspection, even if emissions levels are technically within limits. Many owners will be swapping out downpipes and converters (if they have them) before smog testing is due. My Supra is not due for its first smog check until the end of 2031 but so far, nothing is smog-illegal on my car.

I’m in hawaii so I’m glad I don’t have to worry about that. I just hoping to not get a cel if i go AMS catted but so far it looks promising from all the people that have them on. I’m thinking they use gesi that is different from AA which is a hit or miss but I’m just assuming
