Sets oil pressure by temp and RPM. Increasing oil pressure is usually needed when adding a HPFP to keep VANOS exhaust actual to target. Without increasing oil pressure, the exhaust VANOS gear has a hard time staying on target.
what is the affect of this?
and how much of a difference between actual to target is too much?

Before the drama of todays ripping off of my splitter, I went to Pocono for a track day on the biggest config, the Mega Course. 3.51 miles. I love this config and wanted to get one in before the season was over.

Beautiful weather and I even managed to get a PB while having to lift off in 6th gear every lap. I'll take it.

Time to fix and rebuild...

I think this part might be one of the very few without a BMW logo on it.

It's wild how solid your post IC intake temps are. I really need to get a Wagner IC. Running in 95 degree heat this coming weekend and guarantee it'll start to pull timing.

It will trip a code, possibly put car in limp and most importantly, not run the cam target so it can change power/knock resistance/etc
Steve from Wedge told me to stay away from DI upgrades for this exact reason. He said it puts way more stress on the system and the way to try to tune for it is really just a bandaid because even with the stock HPFP there’s potential to run into issues.

I don’t know who he is but so far going on 30+ track days and no issues so far when tuning appropriately for it.

I have heard some tuners have had some issues as a good amount of these tables needed aren’t defined by default in MHD.

Which is exactly why I searched for them and defined them.

Are you going to add any reinforcements?
I was running the Verus high DF splitter for the first time last weekend and it bent and started to crack the lower crash bar.
We made a quick hardware store trip for rivnuts, eye bolts and threaded rod and did the reinforcements trackside.

The regular verus splitter makes like .0005 DF so not concerned. Those rods probably would have made my incident much worse.
