You can build the trans yourself since you’re already doing the install of a trans yourself and save a ton of money and headache

This has been done plenty of times now. A friend of mine over in Tampa did it.

You need the trans, valve body, and TCU. You can do the shifter as well.

2 people can handle the coding if not doing the shifter, 1 if also doing the shifter.

This is the way Im going when I slap the pure900 on. I can get the above for around $3500 and itll handle the torque ill make.

Confused on what you mean by 2 people needed to do the coding?

Sorry, there are 2 people CAPABLE of doing the coding. Only one of those 2 people can also code in the M shifter.

And how much do they charge? Last I checked some people where charging $1,500+

XHP charges $1,690

M shifter is just ESYS. Anyone can do that.

Yea. I was looking at the 70 swap as well, but realized quickly it costs just as much, if not more than just building the 51, when you really start doing the line items.

Any updates on the project?
As a vendor who's making money on this website, figured you'd be the one to tell us if it's worth it or not. Oh wait, that's right... just another middle man.

Or here’s a crazy idea… just build the 8HP51 that’s already sitting inside the car, instead of giving yourself an aneurysm with TCU and coding headaches.

Hey Guys, The gearbox has been sitting. It doesnt require a new TCU or Mechatronics unit. The gearbox can be virginised through the OBD2 port. Osprey youtube has done it already. I am going to be doing it soon. I crashed my supra so it was not with me for the past 3months and then before that i was installing my CSF Alibaba intake manifold and the Remnant Omega 65 Turbo and getting everything dialed in.

The 76 Will go in! Only difference is the grounding wire need to swap over. The gearbox i have is from an early m3 G80 2020.

I paid 2k USD for the gearbox with torque converter. It shouldn't cost me more then 4k USD to get it in and running.

Yeah but the 76 is physically a larger gearbox and will hold more power then the 51 stock v stock or stg3 vs stg3. A lot of people are going down this route now including Kies motorsport with that 340i build. They replaced the TCU but that really doesnt make sense to do. They didnt go down xHP.
