I could be wrong, but I don't think the Orange released in Australia is the same Mikan Orange released in the US for the 45th.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the Orange released in Australia is the same Mikan Orange released in the US for the 45th. Australia and Japan got Plasma Orange, where the US received Mikan Blast. I've never seen them in the same photo though, so I don't know if there's an actual hue difference at all.

With that said -- I got my 45th only because of the color. I was shopping for a Supra a the time the 45th was made available. When I visited the dealership, they had 3 Supras in stock, and I convinced myself that an obnoxious color would be fun this time around since it wouldn't be a daily. I didn't pay markup but had to get extended warranty to walk out of the dealership with it.

Same here. I was shopping for a 3.0 Supra and came across my 45th at a nearby dealership in November, 2023. Since it had an auto transmission, I paid decent markup vs that on a manual version. The Mikan Blast color really stands out; quite a few people have asked me about it at C&Cs. Lately, there are more and more orange variations by Toyota, Porsche, and other manufacturers, but with only 450 of the Mikan Supras, they tend to be rare variants.

The good thing with an extended warranty is you can cancel it any time and get your money back (prorated)

So the original owner is unknown. That throws up a red flag to me, as that person may have treated the car as a rental and beat the heck out of it. It's a gamble of a buy.
