anyone using catless DP and stock exhaust

Are you trying to compare to catless + straight pipe? The oem exhaust still has a muffler

Yeah i know the oem exhaust has a muffler i just was wondering how much of a difference between stock DP and Cattless DP to make a choice if i wanted to go with catted DP as a compromise.

But I don't regret going catless, it sounds really quiet.

Inside the car at idle, 76 decibels; normal driving, peak at 86; while burble peaks at 88 decibels.

This includes ambient and NVH noises, which are louder than the car.

The only downside is the cold start, which will be tuned out later.

I can't remember if Middle Eastern Supras get OPF or not? If so, that might be why as well.

Maybe it's that. I don't know which components are part of the OPF/GPF. My stock downpipe doesn't have the thin tube, but the car has a resonator in the middle.

Does the resonator in the middle have lots of filters? looking at pictures online i believe its not available in all of the supra's models as standard.

I want to instal the vrsf catless dp but the fume smells concern me :C
When you installed the catless dp, is it smells so bad inside the caben even with windows are closed ??
Could you describe when the smell begin to be so bad, is it while regular driving or start reving up for a little bit and is it noticeable when you switch from normal mode to sport ??

You know in middle east the wether is hot and we don't roll down the windows alot, but if you are in Traffic congestion at the police checkpoint will it start to smell so bad ??

Probably yeah! It doesnt really make it into the cabin with windows closed but being parked definitely makes the smell pretty bad within minutes.

If the car is moving, ive never smelled it.

The smell is noticeable, so if you stop at a police checkpoint, they will notice it immediately. I only notice the smell when I leave my car idling and standing outside. I don't smell fumes with windows rolled up or down while cruising.

i dont remember when is the last time i smelled the fumes maybe only the first week i installed it, my nose probably got used to it, it doesnt bother me at all.

the exhaust noise is around 85 decibals with exhuast closed on cold start and cruising, its not bad, lots of my friend told me my car is quiet.

It smells horrible. Anyone that states otherwise has lost their sense of smell.

with the windows closed, its not bad, but you will smell it when you open the door or you are stuck in traffic.

Yes, it will smell and the Police will notice.

I hated it because my clothes would smell like I was riding a motorcycle. I'm "older" I guess in my mid 40s and was sick of smelling like exhaust. When I was younger in my 20's I had catless American V8 cars and they smelled too, but it didn't bother me as much...ignorance is bless (bites a piece of steak)

Yea that too. After a drive in my Supra, my clothes smell like I just mowed 10 neighbors yards with a lawnmower from 1972 that has never had a tune up.

Catless is much better with high ethanol levels. With my Evos that I ran straight E85 on, It just smells like a open bar.
