So the news I can give you is that there are NO VIN's associated to a Phantom in other words there are no Statuses updated to a Phantom. I don't believe production has even begun on a Phantom Yet. And I do not expect to see any Phantoms until April of 2020 at the earliest but most likely Summer of 2020 so June/July again that's just an educated guess based on the data I see and what I know within the US Market.

However I'm sure others and yourself lol can verify I'm not bad/terrible at these predictions ;)
There are a handful of Phantoms allocated now for the United States. They will be built this month and delivering in October/November more than likely.

Not to be an ass but I highly doubt they will be built in September and delivered in October. I don't think anyone got a Supra that was build one month and then received it in North America the following month. Granted perhaps the Launch Edition Supra's got a different allocation plan but I felt like it took WAY longer. then under 30 days

It could be within 2 months, though. My car was produced on 5/23 and I purchased it on 7/23 (it had arrived at the dealer a day or two before that), so it’s possible that if they started producing the Phantoms at the very beginning of September they could arrive by the end of October / beginning of November.

Question....is color option "Phantom Gray" the same as "Phantom Matte Gray" ? Phantom gray is available now to place a wait list order. I thought the "Matte" version was a 1-off and couldn't be ordered. Also all these pictures in this thread, are they all the Matte or the regular.
I cannot make up my mind if I want this color or Turbulence Gray. Phantom is the only color that has a $1500 adder cost.

I would think so. You'll be able to verify by that $1500 cost. Only the matte gray is listed as "Phantom"

I originally was interested in the Matte Gray but passed it up for yellow, which was my preferred non-matte option. One thing I do like about the matte is that it seems to really show some of the curves better than metallic/gloss colors. Ultimately it's your money to spend and I'd get what you want as long as you're comfortable with the additional cost and the cost to maintain matte paint.

Following up with this. They are a few stateside now. A couple including mine in freight status. Assuming no further delays ETA in next 2 weeks.

I ended up cancelling my order of the Phantom car stateside as I have my LE and the dealership started getting shady about it. This whole thing has been an absolute PR nightmare for Toyota in the states given the uncoordinated launch, delays, and dealerships adding on huge markups in addition to generally having no clue wtf is going on.

it wasn't much better in the UK, people who placed the deposit heard pretty much nothing until "by the way your car is here". Even the dealers themselves had no idea when cars were arriving or what to even do with them.

Calling customer services is like they don't even know what the car is.

Only good news is we didn't have a mark up, although we all paid circa $75k in USD for our cars. Where as yours were cheaper as MSRP??

No idea if anybody has seen them but two Phantoms are listed, but they color is something new.

It is called on the toyota spec sheet Matte Storm Gray Met(D08)

Also vin WZ1DB4C04LW028563, has a PX Special Color has a factory installed equipment but the other doesn't have that designation even though the color is the same.

I did get mine in. I really like the color in person. Very nice. Already put on the LE mirrors and now just need to get the LE wheels. After that I think I will see about getting a red reflector in the front to match the back and mirrors.

So question...did Toyota drop the "Matte" now? Because they used to be called Phantom Gray Matte. Now they just say Phantom Gray. So the Phantom Gray will always come Matte? I think the special edition that sold at BJ earlier was called Phantom Matte Gray

I think they still call it Phantom Gray. Some places list Matte and others don’t. Weird thing is the window sticker actually calls it Matte Storm Gray.
