Pre Throttle Body Heat Exchanger

I was watching a Larry Chen video with a B48 swapped E36 and they had a custom pre throttle body heat exchanger which I thought was an interesting solution. They noted doing this as they're melting throttle bodies due to turbo temps. Has anyone seen this on the Supra / B58?

Seems like a better design than a straight air-to-air intercooler. I wonder what the IAT results are.

Simpler solution is to run water and or meth injection pre TB in the charge pipe to cool down IAT pre charge cooler and run an EOS manifold
Water would be the least complicated route as it doesn't need fueling to be remapped like a meth set up.

I have considered this idea for the Gen 1 B58, but clearance is tight from the front end of the engine block to the cooling fan. The idea is much more plausible for a Gen 2 B58 or S58.

A few big powered X58 cars have completed a similar concept to what Wagner introduced years ago utilizing an "air to air" style intake manifold with an A2W intercooler outside of the intake manifold.

Supra has a ton of room engine to cooling stack compared to G-series BMW 2/3/4

My G series M240i I can barely fit my hand in there, compared to my Supra where I can fit my whole arm and then some.
