full sound system??

Hi guys, I hope you're all doing well. Ive seen a few posts about adding a sub. I was wondering if anyone has done a full sound system. I was wondering how y'all went about it if y'all did it yourself or took it into a shop. I wanna do it myself, but I'm honestly lost with how complex this system looks compared to others.

It looks more complex than it is. I think it is definitely doable. There are several brands that offer plug-n-play solutions for speakers (Bavsound, bimmertech, morel IP or IR series, or Focal IS bmw are all options). As far as amplifiers go, you have a couple of options. For a fully plug-in play set up that does not lose any factory features. You could do the Mobridge K2 DSP (combination of MOST adaptor with amp/DSP), Bimmertech Lightwave (which is just a rebranded Mobridge K2 DSP), or you could use a MOST 25 optical to optical Toslink/SPDIF adaptor (Audison bit DMI, mObridge DA1, and VIBE OPTIMOST25-V4 are all options) and use a MATCH UP DSP amp (PNP harnesses are available). Once you have an upgraded amp with a dedicated subwoofer pre-out adding a sub and amplifier is very easy.

Also be aware that the JBL and non-JBL systems are completely different. JBL uses MOST interface for audio, and the non-JBL uses analog (non digital) pathway. This will determine which route you go with an aftermarket amp/DSP.
