Does anyone here have their front toyota emblem cracked?

Mine is, and also another guy i met this weekend also have the same thing.

Seems like the front emblem crack is a common issue

Man, you just can't catch a break. First, scratches on your car which caused you to switch vehicles. Now a cracked emblem.

I've only had my Supra a week but I don't see anything. Can you post a pic so folks know what to look for?

I don't know about the crack, but mine came like this, which I immediately replaced. didn't bother with warranty, etc. for a $40 item.

There was a known issue with badges delaminating. They tried to fix at the port.

Glad I'm not the only one. I noticed this almost immediately, but only on the front emblem, not the rear. I was going to show it to the dealer when I swing by to pick up some parts. I have to assume this is a warranty item?

Mine isnā€™t cracked (just picked it up 2 days ago), but interestingly my sales rep volunteered that the emblem might crack! That means Toyota is definitely aware thereā€™s an issue.

He went on to say that at least the radar isnā€™t in the emblem like it is in other Toyotas. He said replacement emblems are $50 on Amazon (though Iā€™d expect Toyota to replace broken ones).

Iā€™m curious... we should see if those with cracked emblems have the factory front license plate mount installed. Iā€™m wondering if drilling and/or torquing the fasteners somehow stresses and flexes the front bumper.

Itā€™s not cracking, it is the chrome plating on the inside of the logo (under the clear plastic) flaking off. I think some part of the manufacturing process went wrong and didnā€™t let the chrome paint/coating stick right.

Mine has some crack at the bottom edge. I don't have my bumper drilled for plate so I don't think they are related. I think it is just a manufacturing defect. It's rare to see on a brand new car like this.

Where did you buy yours from? Are they the same size for all models?

I bet even the emblem is made in Germany.

Wow, thatā€™s pathetic. How did Toyota Japan final QA not pick this up.

I just noticed it this morning as I walked past the car in the garage.

Dang, that looks different than the flaking I have seen. So we have cracking and flaking, possibly two issues, or maybe one general "poor quality part" issue.
