I get the point and it's all personal preference. I come from a Z3 m and still have it so that makes 2 roadsters for me. I also have a crappy truck and a Nissan rogue so there's no reason to need more trunk space or back row seating with my roadsters.

I think the supra community is a pretty harsh one and the replies you've gotten were to be expected (Including my own posts). The M2 CS is a seriously cool car, so enjoy it.
Just wait until you don't use the search feature because you didn't want to revive an old thread or have a question about oil

I still don't get why people call the Supra's interior "dated" - iDrive 6 is better and more advanced than 80% of what's on the market.

Are massive ipad's with over-designed UI's really a step forward? Seems like the novelty will wear off after a few weeks.

I found the seats to be uncomfortable at first I wanted to like them but in reflection I would have taken the Z4 Seats of the same generation (2020) or even the seats from the 2020 M2 CS. Or really any BMW (Sports) car I honestly felt that the Supra had the worst seats of that year within the entire BMW Sportish Car lineup. iDrive is passable but it's kind of ridicilous that if you are utilizing Apple Car Play GPS none of the directions move over to the HUD. Any toyota that has a HUD and Apple Car play will move the directions to be displayed on both the HUD and Main LCD Screen except the Supra. The HUD only displays Speed limit and Actual Speed for the average user because I don't beleive for a seocnd the average owner is using the BMW GPS.

So then yea if the HUD isn't being fully utilized I'd probably like a larger screen beause at this stage even with it's (Larger) display it's among the smallest screens on the market right now. To be clear I'm not asking for a larger screen I'm asking for the HUD to display more then just the speed limit without being forced to use an outdated BMW Mapping GPS system.

You want to call me an MKIV Elitiest with my head up my ass when this is your first post on my thread. So lets get this striaght you call my wife fat, my MKIV overrated and then you call me an MKIV elitiest with my head up my ass. This is literally your first post and then you just continue downhill with your passive agressive bullshit, lol, and then conclude to say my head is up my ass.

Again this is your first post.... You have 3,000+ posts on this forum while i have 300 while I've been a member since 2019, I'd make the argument that you think you're an elitist of MKV forums apparently with your passive agressive bullshit from the jump. I actually contributed to the community at one point where people trusted me with their vins and i would gave them status updates on their deliveries. That's what we would call a positive contribution.

Get a life outisde of the internet, unless being MKV Troll/Keyboard warrior is what your life goal is. You probably only got a Supra because you wanted a Z4 (E86) hardtop and just went with the Supra to go along with your M2.
Ok.. fine, let me break it down for you. My first post was a joke, poking a bit of light hearted fun at your poorly constructed sentence and reasoning. Here's what you wrote, spelling mistakes are yours, FYI:

"If I was a single guy it would be easier I feel but with a signifant other it's been a challange at times."
One could argue you yourself made the insinuation.. I just added the punchline. 💁‍♂️

my MKIV overrated
Opinions are like assholes, we all have one. I think the MKIV is overrated. Deal with it. 💁‍♂️

I actually contributed to the community at one point where people trusted me with their vins and i would gave them status updates on their deliveries.
OK, I guess? Do you want a smelly sticker and are you perchance a CEO? 💁‍♂️

You probably only got a Supra because you wanted a Z4 (E86) hardtop and just went with the Supra to go along with your M2.
Well that took a bizarre turn.

Just to put your mind at ease, I actually bought the Supra because I liked it and it had an MT. I'm pretty simple that way. The price/performance balance was just right.. and its BMW underpinnings made it a no brainer. And yes, while there is often an M2 is in my driveway, I didn't buy it. I only mentioned it because it lends to the credibility that I have had some experience with both cars - more than you at this point, I might add - and wanted to point out that the cars aren't overly dissimilar in their overall performance and crucially, utility. Sure, the M2 has a little more boot space but in my opinion, the Supra easily makes up for it in street presence. And on this, I'll be honest and say that I didn't really understand your rant about GT3s.. at three or four times the cost, I'm not sure how they are relevant? Maybe they have cupholders?

What I was trying to point out is that the more expensive M cars really don't hold a candle to the Supra in street presence. The Supra really breaks necks, at least in my experience. 🤷‍♂️ And I'll go further and venture that what you are soon to discover - as have we - is that your M car will only really be noticed by those with a fairly intimate knowledge of BMWs. Again, your mileage may vary but this is my experience.

And finally, your follow up responses to some fairly light hearted comments really got my goat and while you really did bring a knife to a gunfight, I couldn't help but respond in kind.. one of my many many.. many flaws.

Anyway, forget the MKV forums where you have been abundantly helpful and (with all due respect) fuck off to a M2 forum and tell them how the Supra just wasn't your thing, because.. luggage.. or having a partner, or cupholders.. or whatever the fuck the problem was.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

Nothing is lighthearted about that, you can talk about me all you want but as soon as you talk about another mans wife it crosses the line. People have gotten slappend and punched over that, do that to a stranger at a bar and watch what happens. Even Will Smith walked up and slapped the shit out of Chris Rock at the Oscars over something as trivial as that. Was that over done ? Sure but it still crosses a line and is not considered lighthearted. Again do that to a stranger make a joke about about someones wife at a bar and tell me what happens. I'd pay cash to see you do that here in LA, or Huntington Beach. I'd pay straight cash $100 dollars to see you walk up to a stranger make a joke about another man's wife and wittness what happens here. If you had said that to me IRL I would have slapped the shit out you for sure.

I love how you say opinions are assholes but don't realize how much of an asshat you are (And again from the Jump) You average 600 posts a year there are very few people on here who even have 600 posts lifetime. Again get a life...

The Supra MKV does not break any necks, I don't know what the fuck you're talking about, lol. I've been in mine for 6 years and it doesn't attract anything but teenagers literally... It's laughable you think that.... and would say that now...

For what it's worth. I am married and I also have a Supra and me and my wife don't have any issues with it.
It's not just becaue I have a wife I said clearly that I travel alot and work remote. So I stated international suit case, I mean an International Suit Case is a total bitch to get into the car and anything else in fact only the suitcase will fit. I posted the images of the 2 carry on's and the one international multiple times. But here we go again.. This literally won't happen in the Supra even though BMWAF who says he has a M2 "in his drive way" that he didn't buy but thinks his Supra MKV can do this because it's a hothatch, lol.

I asked him to do the exercise and instead of doing it he wants to throw shade for whatever reason... but I guess you too can join can you do this with your Supra? Because I can’t…. Please do the exercise and let me know you were able to fit an international suit case and two carryons in the MKV Supra.

“Sounds like you’re reacting to a real boundary issue for you, not just the surface-level joke. For a lot of people, bringing someone’s partner or family into it does feel different than taking a jab at them directly. That’s pretty widely understood in social settings—even if people disagree on where the exact line is. The example with Will Smith and Chris Rock at the Academy Awards is a good illustration: most people agree the reaction went too far, but the reason it blew up is because it touched that sensitive boundary.

That said, jumping straight to “I’d slap you” isn’t really a solid standard to lean on. Plenty of people would just think the joke was out of line and disengage, call it out verbally, or walk away. Escalating to physical violence over words—especially in a casual setting like a bar—is more likely to make things worse for everyone involved, including you.

On the car point, that’s just a difference in perspective. The Toyota Supra MKV definitely gets attention in some circles—car enthusiasts, younger crowds, etc.—but it’s not universally a “head-turner” everywhere. Your experience of mostly getting attention from teenagers actually lines up with how a lot of modern sports cars land socially. That doesn’t make you wrong; it just means the earlier claim was probably overstated.

If you want to keep arguing the point, it might help to separate two things:

  • what you consider disrespectful enough to react to
  • what most people would consider crossing a line vs. just being a bad joke
Those aren’t always the same, and treating them like they are is where conversations tend to spiral.”

EV's drive themselves and are one trick ponies, but of course you would love a Tesla 🤡 Why didn't you buy one yet? They are everywhere, there is literally a tesla on every street here at any given moment. That's as boring as it gets. But i guess you live in NH SoCal is totally different they are everywhere here. More common then a GT3 RS.
I didn't buy one because I want to own a car that I enjoy driving, looking at, modding and even cleaning. Why would I ever want a tesla? it fits your use case, not mine.

I have a great DD with AWD and big snow tires for when the weather is bad anyways.

You spent 100k on a car that is heavy and ugly, compared to the power, luxury and suit case room the Tesla has it seems like you bought the wrong car.

Check the bimmer forums! They should be able to help you make that M2 a bit lighter and less ugly, but I wouldn't expect much.

In hunington beach you would 100% get either escorted out of the bar or slapped for making a weight joke about another persons wife. I'm so certain of that anyone from the area would confirm that.

Okay so in conclusion did I start the bad joke ? Or did the asshat start the bad joke and for what gain or reason? Other than to be an asshat. The asshat in question has 600 posts a year mind you and really doesn’t get out much and passes questionable humor via being a keyboard warrior. Again no way you’re telling me he would interact that way IRL…

Did you not create this thread stating you wanted an ugly ass Tesla Plaid? Tesla are literally everywhere here it’s as boring and unoriginal as it gets they’re literally appliances.

I completely understand the attracting teenager's attention as I also live in the Socal area!

If you want to attract the older crowd, I got some good pointers to get you started in the right direction!

I’m not trying to attract any crowd I’m just trying to have an enjoyable experience while taking care of tasks that include airport pickups at John Wayne or LAX and make the long commutes from A to B more enjoyable from the inside/interior of a car. Apparently some people in here want to attract teenagers with their car or have the car drive for them instead of the other way around.
