I have too many parts in my garage and it's starting to filter into my house. I need to get rid of stuff. Changed my wing out awhile back so those who want OEM fitment and a tad bit more than a duckbill -- the 45th anniversary wing is just what you need.

Retails for $2,650 or so. Can buy it brand new for $2,000-$2,100 from a Toyota dealership that will sell you Toyota controlled parts.

My price: $1,400 shipped anywhere within the continental US.

Original part number:
  • Manufacturer:Toyota
  • Part Number: PT938-21240-02

What did you plug the holes with after removing it?

How does it mount? Do you have to cut open composite for backing?

When you pop the trunk-hatch open, there's plastic liner. That plastic piece is removable. Once you remove the liner the holes you make on the top side of the hatch are exposed so that you can feed the bolts for the uprights/stands through and secure the nuts on them.

I am interested but I don’t quite understand how you could install this without modifying composite back on trunk. Looks like there are backing plates to distribute pressure.. anyway you could help taking a few pics as to how install works?

Take note of where the circles are on top (this is the location the 45th Anniversary wing mounts to/through).

This portion here is removable. Once removed, you can access the holes for the where the 45th Anniversary wing mounts

Ok, that really helps. My car arrives in a few weeks and I’ll pop the panel off and see what it entails. Thanks for the info.

Hello there, I just got one of these 45th anniversary wings. Do you remember if there was any reinforcement on the underside of the trunk, or just straight holes thru the plastic? Thanks in advance.
There's no additional reinforcement on the underside of the trunk itself. Just the reinforcement plates that attach to the underside of the upright mounts. The wing itself does not generate so much downforce that additional reinforcement is necessary.
