Actually their is a story for the LE which I was told back in May I probably would not be offered the car since the higher ups may allocate it to friends and or family. But actually a person put a deposit on her and then behind the scenes tried to sell her on EBAy for a huge markup prior to taking delivery. The person would never come and get the car when she came in and the dealer had to get Toyota involved to force the owner to walk away from his deal. Since he never took ownership and was playing a game to sell her first to someone else then actually buy it was apparently grounds for loss of right to,buy her. So thatā€™s when they called me in Florida when I was on a 2 week vacation and knew it wasnā€™t fair to have them hold it till I got back. I love the Supra and for me I didnā€™t have to have the LE to be happier.
People do crazy stuff. A friend of mine was telling me about a trick people use with high end cars, leaving them at the dealerships to sell them for premiums. He inquired about a GT2RS that was going for crazy money - the dealer explained that it had been purchased by a guy in Korea. He and his son traveled there to drive it 1 mile (apparently legally required) to take ownership. This guy set up an LLC that bought and owns the car, and ownership of the LLC will transfer to whoever buys it from the dealer. That keeps it a new and original owner car. Convoluted but achieves the desired result.

Hi, I am Rainer from Munich, Germany. GR Supras are now also delivered here. I got mine a few days ago. I inserted some pictures of my GR Supra in my "garage".

My GR Supra is ice gray metallic and has the premium configuration. The only change which I made so far: I removed the rear number plate holder with the advertisement of my dealer and replaced it by a carbon plate holder.

Hello Supristas!
I joined the club yesterday by buying a white LE in Wellesley MA I was torn between a C8 and the Supra, but found the Supra to be less flashy and pretending, more nimble and rare. I also think that reliability and built quality is better with the Supra, at least in the first model year of the C8 where teething problems are to be accepted.
I am a long time Porsche fan, got a bit tired to the 911 ( and donā€™t accept the new price point of the 992 line ) but canā€™t stand the 4 cylinder cayman engines. I applaud Toyota & BMW to build the Supra Z4 and give us a viable alternative to the cayman.
I will take to car to track days so any recommendations for smart tuning choices are welcome. I guess first thing is changing break fluids and pads ?
Thank you for your recommendations
Stephan

Just saying "Hello"

I've finally found a dealer that will sell a car at invoice and perhaps as much as $1K off. so here doing some quick research before I make the 300 mile journey to purchase. I realize not every car is perfect but there are some features I'm not sure I can live without as I will say I'm quite spoiled.... it's killing me they don't have ventilated seats. Living in S.W. Utah (think Vegas climate) I'm not sure I could do without.

FWIW I purchased a brand new 1979 Supra. I had gone in to look at the Celica GT Liftback and they were pulling it off of the truck. Said it was the 1st one to hit Utah (SLC). $10,200. I loved that car. I have a feeling I'll be going full circle as soon as they add the ventilated seats. Until then I'll be lurking and hoping, waiting patiently. Who knows, maybe someone will come up with an aftermarket seat that will address this.

I live in SoCal, it was 110 and I was fine. Just tint the windows and know where the max A/C button is.

Well. Iā€™m back!
Looks like my Taycan I had pre ordered did not live up to my expectations... also $200k lol.

Supra is looking more appealing as time goes on.
Going to find one for a test drive if thatā€™s even a thing for this car in BC.

Seems I havenā€™t missed much on these forums though - a large portion of the speculation around here turned out correct!
