People do crazy stuff. A friend of mine was telling me about a trick people use with high end cars, leaving them at the dealerships to sell them for premiums. He inquired about a GT2RS that was going for crazy money - the dealer explained that it had been purchased by a guy in Korea. He and his son traveled there to drive it 1 mile (apparently legally required) to take ownership. This guy set up an LLC that bought and owns the car, and ownership of the LLC will transfer to whoever buys it from the dealer. That keeps it a new and original owner car. Convoluted but achieves the desired result.Actually their is a story for the LE which I was told back in May I probably would not be offered the car since the higher ups may allocate it to friends and or family. But actually a person put a deposit on her and then behind the scenes tried to sell her on EBAy for a huge markup prior to taking delivery. The person would never come and get the car when she came in and the dealer had to get Toyota involved to force the owner to walk away from his deal. Since he never took ownership and was playing a game to sell her first to someone else then actually buy it was apparently grounds for loss of right to,buy her. So thatās when they called me in Florida when I was on a 2 week vacation and knew it wasnāt fair to have them hold it till I got back. I love the Supra and for me I didnāt have to have the LE to be happier.
