How did you do that?
Alibaba wheel - came with a quick release valve for tire pressure. Premium upgrade for wheels. No more wasting time airing up and down between activities - drift to track to drag in seconds. I have a set on order.

They should arrive in two weeks.

How did you do that?
Pot hole on the edge of the road - wasn't even going very fast but got forced over there.

For the record though, the wheels were hand built from a rusty tin can, 5 crowbars, an old spacer, and a lot of j-b weld.

I had it repaired yesterday - seems OK now, gotta spend some quality time with it to re-build my trust levels tho...

Very sorry to hear that. What was your air pressure?

Do you think a little more air pressure before impact could have saved your wheel? Something like 36 psi.
If the lip of the wheel is wider than the bulk of the tire, it can be that it actually catches on the edge of the pothole itself. No amount of air will save that.

I bent 2 wheels on an Eclipse a long time ago, it was a highway on ramp waiting for the light to change. They had just installed the lights, and not widened the ramp to accommodate 2 cars side-by-side yet. As I went over the edge of the road to put one part of the car in the dirt, both wheels on one side caught the edge of the concrete and when they dropped they snagged and bent. If that makes sense...
