Remote Start - Bimmer Remote Coding

I contacted them with a few questions and here was their reply:

1. How does the car start from the fob? Button sequence? Sequence

2. Does the program work on all the fobs or just one? All

3. When the car is started and warming up, what happens when you open the door? Does the car shut off and need to be started again? keeps running

If someone buys it, they should do a before:after on the NCDs so we can see what was changed...
edit: just occured to me its probably fsc coding... someone should reach out to flashxcode and see if they can do it for cheaper.

They are saying that its available for both MT and AT. They are still testing it for the MT Supra.

I hope it can detect that the MT is in gear and then not allow remote start.

Did you ask when and if it would be available for our cars? The site says currently not available for GR Supra.

The way it's worded, I'd imagine they're working on it. I'd imagine this is the same thing Femto used to offer for that short period of time

Actually it's not because of you so don't feel bad! It's because they are still trying to get it working on my Supra and aren't having much luck. I posted about my experience in a Supra Facebook discussion group.

They have been struggling with some Supras. They have managed to get it working on one Supra before mine based on my discussion with them.

Bimmer Remote has been working with me over the past two days, and we have been trying various things to get the feature activated. It shows up on iDrive, but it's always grayed out, and you can't select it.

They have been very helpful and professional. I think it's great that they stopped taking orders for the Supras until they iron out the remote start issues on some Supra. It shows that they aren't greedily taking money and genuinely want to offer good consistent service.

I'm still hoping that they can work something out with my Supra and get it working. Lots of Supra owners would love to have this feature enabled!

What year is your car? I remember the Femto option was only for the 21+ locked DME's. I'm not super knowledgeable on how any of this coding actually works but just wondering if that could be a factor.

2019 built MY2020 compliance. I have XHP stage 3, MHD Stage 2 multimap tune with MHD flex fuel. Also got carplay coded in by Bimmer Remote a few years ago.

Who knows maybe you're right and you need a newer DME or newer I-Level which requires a DME upgrade etc.

Well every year of Supra has the same Idrive6, not sure if there any other differences within the software but next time you speak with them ask them if the Supra they have gotten it to work on happen to be 2021 and newer.
