DSC/VSC issues?

For anyone finding this at a later point in time:

I ended up returning the car for essentially a same spec supra that came in afterwards. While I can't say for sure what caused the other car to activate VSC, This second one does not do that (and neither did my first Supra.)

The only variable in this situation that I can think of is that this new one has the factory oem Pilot Super Sports all around, while the one I returned had the factory ones up front and two Firehawk Indy Pro 500's on the rear. Also worth mentioning was that all four tires were slightly different with tread depth. The car didn't pull or behave weird, sans the VSC activating on curved on ramps, so I'm going to chalk that one up to the tire differences.

I'm new to the Supra, but this sounds similar to an issue I had with my second Mustang 5.0.

I ended up with a staggered setup on that car 265/45/19F & 305/35/19R, this would happen on certain on/off ramps as well.
Many hypothesized that it was due to different outer diameter tires from front to rear.

• 265/45/19 diameter: 28.4 inches (721 mm)

• 305/35/19 diameter: 27.4 inches (696 mm)

• Difference: 1.0 inch larger for the 265/45/19 (approx. 3.6% difference)

Not sure if any of this is relevant here, since it seems like it was just a brand/compound difference in your case, but just throwing that out there.

Ultimately, in the 5.0, I could just turn all that crap off.
From what I'm seeing from "TwistedSymmetry's" video on Youtube, we apparently cannot completely disable that on this platform.

You can 100% turn it all off.

Long press the button until the light changes and VSC Off is on the dash. That is 100% off.

If you have TPMS and pressure is below a certain psi, it will flip the TC back on, but you can just long press again and it will stay off until you shut the car off. If you have no TPMS, then no issue.
