Is it just me or are the wiper speed pretty slow during heavy downpour? I looked up some BMW forums and it seems like this is normal for them. thanks BMW. Is there any way to increase the speed?

lol, they're slow :) I wrote it elsewhere as well that at lowest speed it's so slow it almost stops then skips / squeaks going up.
Luckily haven't driven it in a serious downpour, but I feel your pain.
86 wasn't super fast either in downpour. I'd keep wishing there was one higher setting.

I recall the Supra wipers being slowish but I only had it in rain once before it went to the dealer never to return.

My loaner Camry is also slow on the fastest wiper settings...

I 100% noticed this since I daily mine. I've driven through 2 really bad rain storms and the wipers are definitely too slow to keep up with heavy rain.

Havent experienced this
Are you using the auto sensing setting or moving them up to the fastest setting. If you are using the auto sensing, you can adjust the speed on them via the dial on the stalk. If I remember correctly the highest speed on the auto sensing is still not as fast as the fastest constant setting (pushing the stalk up 3 times.)
