I have noticed that people come in close when I am driving the Supra, tailgate and cut in close, behind and in front. They don't do that with my FJ, not anything like this, anyway. My wife said, they want to see the car but it isn't really that. I have seen older people, older women, who could care less about what I am driving, just slam up behind me. It is very annoying and stupid driving. I would like to have tacks to drop out of the back or oil. lol

So does anyone else notice this more with your Supra?

cars in general; that's why people are moving en masse to vans/suvs
Strange, they don't do it with my FJ Cruiser. I grew up, learned to drive, very defensively in a retirement community where they drove like zombies (Paradise, CA, the one that mostly burned). Now I have to do it all over again. Morons.

it's definitely annoying, and it also makes merging/changing lanes more difficult IMO. People will try to block a car far more than a truck/SUV, at least in the places im driving.

It's one of the reasons I went to the LX570 after trading in the Q50RS.

Some of this is 2 seater perception on the drivers part...

I found when I drove 2 seat sports cars of mine it always felt like ppl were tailgating or following me closer....In a 2 seater most tailing cars are physically closer to the driver compared to driving a truck or SUV but on average had the same traveling distance...

Took me a while to get used to this and I still have moments when I pray that the truck coming up on me, while parked at a stop light, doesn't rear end or roll over me!

because the car is so low and small the other drivers cars sensors and radar doesn't see you.

just to prove the point, drive very fast past a speed monitor radar.....the cop won't see you! B-)

I had a small sports car until 2012 (20 years) and never had this issue. Seems the past few years have gotten much worse.

When I lived primarily in the US back in the day, I noticed traffic started getting worse around 2011 (it dropped off a ton after GFC in at least this particular metro area). I then visited in 2014 and it had gotten far worse, but when I went back to visit last year it was horrendously bad (bumper to bumper everywhere) and people were way more aggressive as a result.

I'm sure this was due to a variety of factors, but it was a depressing thing to experience over time.

I have rolling anti-lag enabled on the A80 for this exact reason. Flames and bangs stops it quick smart.
