So for as long as I’ve owned my Supra it gets water trapped on the bottom of the rear window where it meets the trunk. Whenever I’m drying the car after washing it, the water trapped in there will coming pouring out and I’ll have to redry that area. I don’t want water getting stuck in there and causing issues later on. It looks as though some weather stripping could fit in there too, has anybody tried fitting some in there or did I just get a Supra that didn’t come with it.

Get a leaf blower and blow the water out.

What I'm doing is, after you rinse it, open the trunk slowly. Let that water pocket drain thru sides.
But I also have a compressor, sometimes I go that route as well

Funny you mention this. I was sitting in the garage getting my daily quarantine sun and staring at this "feature". I started thinking the same as you about all the water this would trap. I couldn't remember it being a problem the one and only time I've washed the car though. I was going to use the leaf blower though too if it became an issue like I used to do on my motorcycle. Neighbors always looked at me funny doing that but, whatever, works great.

I'm glad I'm not the only one infuriated by this. Yesterday I just popped the trunk before drying and then again after (and spot dried what resulted) and that got most of it out.

Well I'm already seeing dried up dirt collecting in this channel. Looks like I'll need too find a tool that I can use to get in there and scrub the debris out. Great spot for fostering rust down the line if one doesn't keep this area clean.
