What’s the torque number and how does they translate into the 1/4 mile?

They didn't mention that in the car and driver video. You do see the dyno sheet in video but the quality is not sharp enough. To me it looks like it put down 420 wheel torque.

I am assuming the last engine bay shot were they posted the whp rating for the 2021 was the engine bay of the blue 2020? I wish they would or blown up the dyno sheets more clearly for the 2020 and 2021. That amazing numbers, so the new 2021 is like 450hp at the crank.. Time for all the 2020 owners trade theirs in so Toyota can make even more money off of us. Lol

That’s the 2020 graph.

Car and Driver said zero to 60 3.5 vs 3.7 for 2020 car. The 2020 car made Supra puts down 339 horsepower and 427 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

Will we not get any track reviews due to SIP?

So far I am happy with the improvements and don’t mind waiting instead of getting a discounted MY20

On the other hand not a fan of the 2.0 unless Toyota sells it for $35k I think they took out way too much. Sure it's 200lb lighter but it’s not all inspiring mass and that comes at the sacrifice of automatic seats, sound system, smaller brakes, no HUD unit, no LSD, no adaptive suspension and more.

For those wanting to skip all the vids, they're pretty much saying the 2.0 is good for what it is, but everyone would rather spend the extra cash for the 3.0.
But they also say 2.0 handles better due to lower weight that is noticeable and its sharper especially on turn in so on windy roads can be just as fun as 3.0. Its not slow either with 0-60 measured at 4.9s.
Ofc 3.0 sounds much better and goes like crazy in a straight line.

After watching and reading everything so far 2.0 seems to be better than expected for a "just" 2.0 version.
But given the choise I prob would have gone for the revised 3.0 too. Just for the suspension.

I was just trying to make a quick neutral wrap up, but if you want to cherry pick then the guy from TFL said the 2.0 motor and tranny don't pair too well together and he didn't feel the weight differences between the two and the 3.0 was more fun in his opinion. Regardless, none of this changes the conclusion, 3.0 > 2.0. Obviously you get what you pay for and picking from the two will depends on one's wants and needs.
