So today was the first time I’ve driven my supra in the rain..... and boy was it an absolutely terrible experience. I had to pull over at a station and let the rain pass due to the wipers not moving fast enough to keep the rain off. I plan to put rain x on the windshield, but aside from this, am I doing something wrong? All settings set to fast and they move like medium on other cars.

Is it set to auto? I have it on auto and there's that "medium" speed which is inadequate for any kinda heavy rain and then there's fairly fast speed where I've never had an issue with the wiper's speed in any kinda rain. It does switch on its own obviously and I never really had an issue with mine :dunno:

I driven it in rain once and never had issues. I try not to drive it in rain tho.
I also try not to drive in rain. We were out heading to a meet and got caught in a random rain storm. To be fair, the rain was pretty strong, but my wife following in her ST had no issues with visibility.

As far as settings, I tried auto, I tried high, and I also moved the little knob on it to high. The wipers seem to move a lot slower than other cars. Hopefully rain X solves the issue entirely.

Auto? You mean if it rains and wipers automatically wipe by itself
Yes there is a notch on the knob that is for automatic wipers. I tried that and manual with the same results

If you would need the fast setting on most other cars, RainX will not help enough to not still be cursing the jackass who decided that the wipers are fast enough. RainX does help, but it isn’t a miracle cure all.

The max wiper speed does suck a whole lot though. I completely agree there.

i got caught in a severe thunderstorm and even with the wipers running at full blast I could not see much

Not sure but it seems like the blades seem rather thin

Maybe rainx would help?

Don’t the wipers fold up if you want? I haven’t tried this yet. I wondered what happens if you have them folded & it starts raining.
