thanks ! Yeah if all goes well i can afford it even with 60k , the worst case scenario is that i have around 40k +/- for a car by that time , i would want tho a 86 to take a step up in power and/or in price, i believe the spot it should be is with around 250 -260 hp , this car has serious potential .
For Detroit i believe the comeback of the legendary supra will be show shattering and leave the corevette to the shadows if the supra is as good as we hear it is in this forum. So i dont worry at all .

This one shall be tricky as the ME Corvette was basically a myth for years

BMW was able to apply changes Tada-san recommended to the Z4 in order to make it competitive. Apparently they now have a Z4-Mspec car that keeps up with Supra as far as lap times.

I guess BMW was crazy impressed with the differences Tada's changes made and rightfully so.

What does this mean for the Supra though? NO MORE DELAYS. The schedule is now back on track (no pun intended) with BMW withdrawing its previous protest.

no idea honestly, power level wise that would be GRMN area, but weight plays a huge factor as we have seen so...

while sharing powertrains was pretty much in the bag, i still wonder what this means regarding toyota's contribution to the engine as i have a hard time believing the z4 would use toyota tech under its hood...but i guess that would be less blasphemous than allowing this rebadged bmw smoke their own kind. now it will be interesting to see how they price the two if they do indeed share the same performance, will bmw allow toyota to avoid the premium?

Not sure, just know it was the 6cyl which has 340hp.

theres a Spec-A car with the 6cyl which is now the main test mule we've been seeing with the circular tails, but I dont think that car is going to end up being a production model as it was originally the testbed for the 4cyl.

The spec-B car doesn't see anywhere near as much of the limelight, but that's likely the car that's going to make it to being released, and the upgraded headlights and tails give that away.


to counter that argument, maybe having a super bare bones version and then a more elegant version is how they will get a price difference. I would think there would have to be a power difference though if that was going to be the case. I really just need more information, which is getting harder and harder to come by due to public relations and product managers starting to clamp down on leaks etc.

According to the brochure it took 4 years to develop the MK4. Hopefully that means we will see something in 2018.
