^This is the way to do this right....
...And surprised to hear it even held up during normal travel use...but for how long? I wouldn't want the hassle of having to redo it multiple times..

I just ordered these today. Going to have my muffler shop put them on when I do my muffler delete. I think they should look pretty good, and overall will still be a lot cheaper than a full catback system.

Well crap. The shop that's doing them said it's roughly a 2.5" inlet and those should work. They are replacing the whole back section where the muffler is and was going to weld on new tips. But I obviously don't want to go to a smaller ID than stock. Thanks for posting this. Now to find one's that do actually fit or just do what you did to the stock ones..you might want to see if you can cancel that order. Here’s the stock exhaust pipe under the tip

Wow, this is really good because 99% of other posts claim we had a 2.5" exhaust pipe!
I believe the piping leading up to the muffler may still be 2.5", but the exhaust piping from the muffler and under the tip is a little larger than 3"
