After owing a laggy low compression single scroll turbo for many years, the 2020 supra has a refreshing lack of turbo lag if any at all.
Which would I choose?
2020 for cruising around town and wanting that low end torque to just go.
2021 is best suited to track where it will shine, but having to rev it higher to get the torque may be quite exhausting around (long term) town. (this will be exacerbated if the 22 supra is manual). You could also add the 6 port exhaust header may also contribute to slower spool down low but better performance up top as another track based improvement.
Curious to hear others opinions.

His 2020 Supra already had a bunch of bolt on mods that probably made the difference in turbo spooling even though he used the stock map.Openflash dyno runs tells another story...
« Here is a graph comparing a 2020 Supra to our 1 day old 2021 Supra. Both 100% stock. Both on the same dyno running California 91oct premium »
Nothing that would seems that noticeable under 4K rpm from seats of the pants IMO
Yes, looking at the graph at 1800rpm there is some strange incomplete torque with the brown curve compared to blue.Openflash dyno runs tells another story...

I want to like this channel but they always say some dumb things that just throw me off. Much prefer throttle house for the paired review format
