I6 has never been a special sounding engine, but it also never sounded bad. It is a well balanced engine in every aspect.

Usually it is the BMW guys complaining about Toyota's "cheap" buttons, yet as we see the Toyota guys are not convinced by BMW's "premium" buttons. So much for "perceived" quality, it is all a question of perception.

Another thing: if the vents are fake on this Supra, it does not mean they would be fake on a different version of the Supra, like the GR or GRMN. The base Corvette has fake rear vents, if the car is not equipped with the optional tranny and diff cooler. Sometimes, only one vent is functional...

The Supra is a tuner car and should always look good. It is easier to delete fake vents than to add functional looking fake vents.

These lap times are worth nothing. Jaguar F Type R cannot be faster than those after it.

One other thing that has to be confirmed: vertical (Toyota) or slanted (BMW) I6 placement? I prefer vertical. Hood line is anyway not as low as Honda S2000.

As I said in my other post, these fake vents have probably an aftermarket function. From the pics I see that they are designed in such a way that is would permit tuners to develop OEM looking and OEM fitting body and wide body kits. Most wide body kits do not look good.
