Called my local Toyota dealer today, echoing others - they know nothing. Check back at the end of the month when the cars are likely to be at the dealers. Weird how Toyota UK seems to be keeping their own dealers in the dark.

Have we all received the Autocar extract and the patronising letter that accompanied it?
Have Toyota UK not heard of the internet & youtube?

If as I have been informed by my dealer contact that the cars are in the UK are all the PDI's been carried out centrally say at Burnaston, Deeside or somewhere else?

Read some articles from across the pond that dealers need up to a week to get the car out of transportation mode and make sure everything is in working order etc. more like taking the 'michael' putting mileage on a supposed new vehicle.

When I got the my GT86 had 3 miles on the clock, expect a similar figure when Supra finally arrives in September.

Spoke to my mate at Toyota today and bases on the current residuals and pricing, I'm ditching the idea of the car.

Just shy of £700 a month with 5k down over 42 months is ridiculous. Done a deal on an M2C with £5k down for £450 a month. The supra isn't worth an extra £250 a month (to me).

Will wait for official Toyota confirmation, but looks like I'll be caning this idea.

Best of luck with the M2C. I must say, I would do the same in your position.

Sent a note to my dealer this morning asking if possible to not put the front number plate bracket on. Really think it ruins the car and i don't want holes.

Wonder where i could put it instead..

I use a sticker plate for my Celica GT4. Had one on for 10 years and never been pulled over or given any hassle about it.

They are in a grey legal area. According to the highway code standards, they are valid. Correct font size, reflective background etc. The problem is they have never been challenged in court so a lot of people will tell you they are not legal, whereas the truth is, it has not been decided if they are legal or not.

Now, where you would put the sticker is a different question.

Had an email this week from the Supra champion to arrange a time for me to go in to discuss delivery. I'll be asking about their attitudes to tuning as well considering the salesman himself sent me a link to the Litchfield news.

I asked my dealer the same and he said Toyota told him that the plate holder is part of the standard equipment and you can't request that it not be fitted. I dunno though, you might have more luck!

If I see my car at the depot without the holder though I'll be refusing one being placed for sure!

Had an email of my dealer this afternoon. Asking if I’d chosen my colour yet. As they had received a message form Toyota That I hadn’t.
I’ve just forwarded my colour confirmation email from back in January. It all seems a right cock up tbh

So went up to my dealer today to go over a few details and was taken round to the garage under the pretense of confirming I'd be happy to see where it would be stored securely and my car was there! It had just come off the truck an hour before hand and he'd kept it a surprise.

So excited to actually get to see it in the metal and it looks amazing! Got to sit in, start it up and I'm still smiling :)

Not sure it's the first in the country, but it's got to be one of the first. The standard editions haven't yet arrived as the dealer as a guy with a yellow on order and that wasn't there.

I've just got to be patient and wait until the 1st September now...

Interesting in that second picture the door is very reflective for a matte car. Can’t wait to see mine now

I had a chat with my dealer last week about proper washing it, supposedly you aren’t meant to use any washing shampoo with silicone in it, or polish it as it will make the paint shiny

That does look good!!

Tempts me to keep mine and not cancel the order due to the general walliness of Toyota and the non existent Supra Champion - more like Supra Chump.

BTW - id HATE if that happened to me!!! Purely as I don't think id get much sleep between now and Sept 1st, and be a pain in the arse round the house that I couldn't have my new toy!!

Just heard from my dealer, my car is due in on Thursday or Friday!

Since putting a 19 plate on it anyways I'm thinking of getting asap if they'll let me... Will have to see.
