lol I wish I lived near some of you all that already have your dash cams so that we could combine my car that's already arrived with your dash cams /mounts that have already arrived and figure this out :p

I'm still interested to see what yalpeR's 4-cam setup looks like. If it isn't too obstructive that could work quite well. My only concern is whether you can have all of the same BlackVue cameras run through the same account on the same app. Hopefully you can, but it'd be annoying to have to log out and log into a different account just to check each time.

I'm using an older Blackvue, and it works perfectly well, and may be a bit cheaper than the 900.

Not bad for a older model, however that camera is facing really downwards. Is there a reason why?

For my personal vehicle I have the dash cam aimed to show my hood and the rest of the road, rather than my entire dashboard like you have it. Personal preference I guess.

This is my F750 cloudy overcast morning with no sunlight. This is how I have my camera positioned.

It's just how I had set it up in my 86. Wanted to ensure I could get people's license plates

Although I havenā€™t tried it, I am 99% sure you will be fine. When I created an account with Blackvue they give me options for ā€œfleet managementā€ etc...

That might not be the actual term, but it appears that you can register a fleet of cars (cameras) under 1 account, so I am sure it would have no issue with 4 cameras.

Yes, I want to mount them like this.

And I got two BlackVue B-124 batteries. I still have to find out if one dr900 2ch counts as one camera in their app, if it doesn't i may have to go with their fleet plan option. But I guess it's the case, because there is just one QR code in the box and none on the cams. I will try to set it up next week, but still no car here.

Oh wow thank you very much for providing that - wonderful video of how to set this up and, as expected, the 4Ks are on the front and back with the smaller cameras on the side. It looks like there is a slight gap in coverage between some of the cameras on that 4-door Tesla, but I suspect that with a 2-door Supra it would be almost seamless. Definitely going to try to go with this option.

Thanks again!

Could an aftermarket stereo possibly blow the microphone on the blackvue dashcam?

No, if anything, it would just sound like crap when you are re-playing footage.

I guess if you wanted to get crazy, I am sure If you loaded the car full of 18ā€ subs and powered it with with a tow-behind battery trailer, that they could break your windows and damage all sorts of stuff....but that isnā€™t realistic.

You wonā€™t damage the mic with your aftermarket stereo.

Anyone who installed the blackvue camera. How did you set it up? Where did you hardwire it? Front or back? Have any battery issues yet? did you install it like the video posted before? My dealer has some former BMW techs there and they're saying it might not be a good idea to install.

Not a good idea to install on a BMW/Supra or in general...? Just curious as to what they think the issue with installing is and whether this is something specific to this car or if theyā€™re just saying that it causes battery issues in general, because if itā€™s the latter I feel like you could just look at Amazon reviews and see if anyoneā€™s complaining about it killing the car battery. (I donā€™t think Iā€™ve seen that raised as a prominent issue with the Blackvue; the most common complaint there has been overheating.)

The BMW techs saying it causes the battery light to always go off. Basically any thing being hardwired to the car screws with the warnings.
