  1. Oily threads on coilovers - an issue ?

New struts and both sides. Occams Razor would suggest no issues. Phil
  2. Opinion on buying a wrapped supra from a reputable dealer ?

Seems easy to me. Tell the dealer you will buy the car pending the removal of the wrap and the original paintwork is all good. Phil
  3. What did you do to your Supra today?

I would not say that. It's not particularly hard but most cars you only need to open the hood to pour the oil in and you change the filter from below when you drop the oil. So pull the drain and while it's draining swap out the filter and then reinstall the drain plug. Slide out from under and...
  4. MT revs upwards when hard driving in between shifts

You should be able to log this and find the reasoning with all the EFI work you've been doing surely? Or is it too random? From my understanding "rev hang" is a programmed emission reduction strategy but this sounds a bit different? No issues with this on my car for info. Phil
  5. Keys not being recognised

    OBD dongle installed? Phil
  6. Supra Development Thread - OEM+ Designs

Will it maintain the armrest profile ot just be flat on the top? Phil
  7. Manual Heel Toe/Pedals

Yep. To heel & toe properly you need a solid pivot point on the brake pedal which is what you get on a race track under heavy braking. In normal road driving you don't brake hard enough for that so the jab at the throttle pedal causes a variation in the braking making the whole process pretty...
  8. Getting DTC 030E07 after coding/registering new lithium battery

From my understanding of new battery registration albeit from other makes it is primarily about 2 things. One is the load shedding strategy if the battery voltage drops to a critical point and also the current profile the charging system puts into the battery which is mainly about fuel economy...
  9. DIY Forged Internals in the comfort of your garage without removing the engine; and how I almost blew my engine.

Just looking at this thread again. Papadakis B58 drift engines use O rings blocks with copper head gaskets. Mind you they spin to 8900rpm and 1200 HP with a nitro shot. Phil
  10. DIY Forged Internals in the comfort of your garage without removing the engine; and how I almost blew my engine.

Totally unnecessary on a modern engine that uses an MLS gasket like the B58 does. In fact it's the last thing you want to do. Back in the day with older engines that used composite head gaskets then sure. They had a mailable fire ring and would relax after some heat cycles but MLS head gaskets...
  11. Pre Throttle Body Heat Exchanger

He mentioned it twice in the Video. Phil
  12. Supra Logo Badges

And I'm still waiting for the next batch. Phil
  13. Error code 130716 Vanos, exhaust: control error, camshaft is stuck

You might want to do some research on the difference between "tolerances" and "clearances". They are not the same thing. Phil
  14. No, I do not want to street race…

Be great if you could activate a switch and it illuminates when require, lol.
  15. No, I do not want to street race…

OR you might get even more interest after that  Phil
  16. No, I do not want to street race…

Yea it's predominately an American thing, like rollin coal, spinner wheel covers, a revolver in the glove compartment and cars that look like Graceland on wheels. I've been driving performance cars for want of a better description for 20 years and I've only had 1 guy pull up next to me at the...
  17. Electronics Going Haywire After Battery Died

I just don't think 30min running in a freezing garage is enough to get the oil temp where you need it for long enough to burn off the cold start contaminants. Personally I'd just change the oil before storage and leave it at that over the winter but it's up to you. Phil
  18. Electronics Going Haywire After Battery Died

About the second worst thing you can do to the engine. Phil
  19. Must have.

    Zero self what? Phil
