The people running Toyota's various social media accounts have to be the same sort guys that accidentally send dick pics to everyone in their contacts.
I don't see any contradiction. It can be economically viable to offer something in small batch production that doesn't scale to volume production. So a custom bell-housing that has a 9-hour cut time on the CNC is viable for a production run of 100, but for 10,000-100,000 not so much.
Yes... you're starting to catch on. If the new Supra is a run away sales hit, they will still sell fewer Supras in all of 2020 than Ford will sell Mustangs in a single month. The economics of the GRMN model already doesn't make sense.
You know, every time I hear one of those engines, or pull up behind an newer Lexus, I ask myself "Man, why wasn't this car on my radar?" Then two words bubble up from the depths of my mind "spindle grille..." And I forget about Lexus all over again.
I've been watching the livestream for well over 72 hours now... it sucks! Do NOT waste your time!
The first two days were nothing more than the auditorium lights going on and off. Then my very keen eyes spied a guy with a floor buffer, doing a bit of an overnighter. This morning, a crew started...
I don't know what it is, but I have never liked the stock wheels on anything. Even if the rims themselves are fine, it's usually a case of the wrong wheel for the car.
Doctor: There, there... take it easy son. You've been in an accident.
Patient: Accident? How long have I been out?
Doctor: I'm afraid you've been in a coma for a little over 5 years...
Patient: Wow... 5 years... Is my Supra OK?
Doctor: I'm sorry, your Supra was totaled. But there's good news...
You are correct, it's not a bad price for a turnkey race car. My comment on the price was meant as a joke. Seems like any time anyone posts an expensive new car, someone will always comment with something along the lines of "What!? I could get a flood-damaged salvage title Ferrari for that sort...
It would make for a logical benchmark. We know the regular MKV was designed with an eye towards the 718, so it would make sense for the GRMN Supra to tackle the Top Tier 718. But $179,000 for the Competition version? Sheesh! A guy could buy like 35 used Dodge Neon SRT-4s for that sort of green.
Will the "embargo" be broken before Detroit?
For those that don't know, a "press embargo" happens when automakers release details (specs and pics) to the press, ahead of an event. With the express consent (under penalty of death I presume), that said info won't be released beforehand. An event...

:dunno:
Look like the standard 3/4 profile front and rear shots that everyone uses to me. I'm sure after the official launch, we'll see all the glossy low-angle action shots that people are looking for.
