very probable. euro cars tend to implement some sort of brake drying in case of poor weather so that the pad and rotor have the best brake response/emergency braking. not something i've seen advertised on the supra.

Sharing a new alignment spec I'll try out soon. My original alignment was went a bit out of whack for camber/caster (it was originally like -2.5 front camber and 7.8 front caster). The rears weren't really off by much. Using SPL FLCA w/caster bushing - everything else is stock.

I have a 2021 and it looks like I have more crap in that area of the engine than you do (perhaps the different port design from the 2020), but I can visually tell you that mine has oil residue in a similar area to yours (about half the amount).

The re-learning theory seems plausible. Our ECU did a lot of learning when a good number of us were babying the car during break-in. I drive much of the same route in city traffic - what has become more apparent is my 2021's exhaust pops happen a lot more. The inner child in me is satisfied.
