Increased power means more heat, more load - so generally wear will increase. Monitor and maintain accordingly and you should avoid surprises.

I'm assuming it should be the other way up against the column and is detecting something on the column during rotation and sending a signal. No idea what though!

Tech support have said the phone same thing - roll back the firmware. Which I'll do, but it wasn't working before I did that either, lol!
