No wonder all they build now are ugly SUV/Wagon type cars  Well the M4 is pretty cool I guess but the Z4 was a failure. Should have just kept it the Z3 at least that was a fun car.
Hydraulic steering! AMG you have my respect.
The 991 911 has supposedly the best electric steering in the world but even the best of those can't touch the best hydraulic racks.
I think I could stop renting and live in this car with an interior like that. :D
First off topic random post!
Anyone photographer / camera gearheads here? I'm an admitted pixel-peeper and gear addict. Currently have a Canon 6D but saving up for a 5D.
I hope theres a single chief engineer for the project and it should be Tada from Toyota the man who managed to bring the FR-S to market. He brought a lightweight fun sports car unlike the stuff BMW has been pushing out.

Tada san again. Talking about Supra name, RWD, and vs GT-R.

Tetsuya Tada (chief engineer) talking about wowing people with next sportscar (FT1) with big power, some driver aids, and likely no hybrid technology.

What's interesting about this quote is the 5 year development period and that Toyota president wants Supra successor asap!
Got this idea from some other sites I follow. Here's a list of quotes from the engineering lead for the FT1 / Supra - Tetsuya Tada. Maybe every one can help out.

Talking about Toyota president's view on calling...
Camaro Z/28 is like a stripped down car totally geared for the track though. Don't know if it's fair to compare a car like that without AC and radio to a car like the Supra which can be daily driven.
The issue with keeping with a base 911 for less $ is that the Cayman GTS already does this for $11k cheaper than the 911. So you're talking about taking the Boxster/Cayman head on.
What ever they do please no BMW engine in the FT1!
A Supra without a Toyota engine wouldn't be a Supra and I bet that would turn off a lot of Supra nameplate fans. = bad for sales.
It's either going to be a base turbo 4cyl with a TTv6 as the flagship or TTv6 base and V8 flagship. The V8 I imagine could even come from the 2UR GSE from the RC F. If this is the approach they go with then we're looking at potentially a fairly pricey base Supra. I'm just not sure they will go...
I never really expected it to be much diffrent but really I would not make too much of the exterior shell. Mules are so unreliable and they can easily be testing the motor and has little to do with the size/proportions.
