I'm curious about the axles and driveshaft (and diff to an extent) since they've been common failure points and a manual is going to really exacerbate that.
RE: Shift points -- No tangible MPH difference (for me) shifting at 5900 vs 6300. IATs and other external factors are significantly more influential than a few hundred RPM difference in shift points.
Can one of the Beta testers advise if/when this is corrected? The first thing I do is...
Two weeks, ~2000 miles throughout the Southwest and I was in love. We got home on a Saturday and the following Friday I picked up a new 2022 HTC, Z51, 3LT.
A stock datalog would be good reassurance. If there's nothing obvious - misfires, codes, new ticks or noises, etc.. you're most likely fine. If you really want to know more then pull the plugs.
Better than -5°
10° at that RPM that deep into the run in that DA is acceptable. It was up to 15 at the top of the gear so it was still advancing nicely. Point being the timing curve progressively ramps in each gear with zero corrections which is what you want. It would like a...
Had a few more min than I thought, more feedback:
IATs were already heatsoaked before the run at 122° -- is what it is if you're stuck idling in the staging lanes or shut the car down for a bit and restart. AFR looks good across the board. The timing tells the whole story, though. By...
MAJOR timing corrections and your IATs cannot be correct (edit: had the wrong param selected belowl IAT actually look reasonable but not great)... I'll review in further detail later this evening if I get a chance. Avg 20psi -- way too much for pump gas.
1.8x 60's is not bad for a stock tire. The issue here is your trap speed is way down for the mods, which directly correlates to power. ET is simply how efficiently you use the available power. MPH is power:weight and not heavily influenced by 60', etc.. unless something else goes really wrong...
Interesting - thanks for the insight. I'm chatting with a dealer in WI of all places, but they alluded to potential blockers with an out of state deal. Not sure if it's a Toyota thing or a state/dmv thing at this point. So... Not totally in the clear but I am first 'on the list' if it can...
You're severely downplaying the current market and the volatility in dealer markups. The point is to lock in an MSRP deal.
I did not have to put a deposit down but I probably would have if required. However, any dealer taking deposits (especially non-refundable) this early when allocations...
I just chatted with my dealer friend. There is no custom ordering; you can specify your preference but at the end of the day dealers get what they get.
Yes, that's the current plan. A buddy of mine is hooking me up with an out of state dealer friend for an MSRP deal but it's not 100% confirmed yet. I will absolutely buy one at MSRP and I don't need to be at the front of the line. Just not going to pay any mark up.
Which dealer do you work...
Same. For me Downshift was a bit too dark and Refraction too light and smurf'ish. Stratoshere is just right; I dig the blue on the new Z as well.
It will go well with my Laguna Blue Evo:
