  1. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Assuming this is real: Only the "A91-MT Edition" gets the tan interior. The are multiple other manual options with black interior. What's not clear to me is the two letter prefix - BA, BD, BK, etc..
  2. Switching to Manual from Auto version?

Your DA will certainly play a part. However I'm speaking from what I've personally witnessed vs rando forum posts. That said, after asking around the 10s car I'm referring did have cams so "FBO" is debatable. Another buddy of mine was running consistent 7.2 / 11.2 with an unopened longblock...
  3. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

    Yep, this is the it.
  4. Switching to Manual from Auto version?

Hard to enjoy something you're not good at. A FBO M6 is a 10 second car with a driver.
  5. Oil getting hot quickly

Exactly this. It's a feature not a bug. Oil comes up to temp very quickly and in my experience stays consistently ~230° which is optimum. You have to really work the car to get the temps to elevate much beyond that and recovery is quick as well. Coolant also comes up to temp very quickly and...
  6. Switching to Manual from Auto version?

I get that. From my perspective though you could build something a LOT more fun for a lot less money if you're simply looking for a toy. My LS3 Miata comes to mind.. Different strokes and all.... RE: drag car -- some of us want to do more than just hold the wheel straight, but I get...
  7. Switching to Manual from Auto version?

Naww.. Even if you could only get a manual in the 2.0 I still wouldn't buy one. "Less weight, lower CG, better weight distribution, blablah.." Is all affirmational BS unless you're truly a hard core track rat; otherwise you bought the secretary edition and are just making excuses. ?
  8. Lowered with Drag Pack

If you're untuned/on JB4 the inherent throttle closure may extend the life of your axles. A high 1.6 is the best I've been able to achieve and that is dead-hooking. I have 10 passes on the track and dozens of hits on the street. *EDIT - I am not lowered
  9. Switching to Manual from Auto version?

Why not both...? I'm buying the manual and will then decide the fate of my '21.
  10. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Can you name a performance/enthusiast car where the manual variant is less valuable/less desirable than the auto? I can't...
  11. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

I've heard the matte white paint rumor but first I'm hearing of a tan interior. I'm not at all interested in either so unless there's something performance related I'll skip the SE.
  12. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Putting my money where my mouth is. I've got a homeboy hookup I'm cashing in so I'm already "on the list". Still waiting on the what the SE model entails but man trans is coming either way. I'm still picking a new Z but I don't (yet) have an inside track for an MSRP deal and I'm...
  13. TPMS for the Supra

I bought these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/265514296311 for my drag pack and they work just fine.
  14. Pre 06/20 ECU locked by dealer question.

FWIW the production date on my 2021 was 3/20 and the ECU was dated 2/20. You should be good.
  15. What's your favorite glamour shot of your car?

    Thanks. Stock suspension. F 26x6.0x17 R 305/45/17
  16. 2021 Noct black with 5k miles at dealer

It's one of the pics from the ad.. This car is for certain locked. The ECU dates are typically a month or 2 ahead of the MFG date on the door.
  17. 2021 baseline runs -- deep 11's with the basics

So far it seems to be a wash but I don't have enough comparable data for true A/B testing. The biggest benefit to leaving in 2nd is eliminating a shift.
