Thanks for jumping in - Brakes are still the biggest issue I have been working on so can add my experience. I have not had the issue with pedal pressures - is very responsive. So not sure what pads you are running. If they are still a street pad I could see this as you will out run the heat...
Thanks for the comments. Yes I have a lot of topics in my mind we can discuss as a group and get more people out with these cars. I would love to have a separate run group just for us. NASA will do it if they get the numbers as they are partnered with Toyota and have to take 10 cars if they...
Thanks for that I just got my second set of rims. So I can mount them up with out sensors and see what it does. How do you change the settings? My dash is a Christmas tree as well. With race seat , catless down pipe. And no Parking brake due to big brakes on the rear. So also am not worried...
What does it do if there are no sensors on your track rims. I figured it would freek out and keep traction and stability control on? That is what it is doing if it senses a low tire pressure. So have you run rims with no sensors? Do the low tire codes come up on the dash. Just did not want...
I have another question for the group. Has anyone figured out how to turn off the low tire warning or changed the setting. I looked in Beamer coder but could not find anything. When you start out on track tires under 27 /28 psi the traction control comes back on normally in the middle of the 2nd...
I will give it a try. So stock camber is limited to what ever small adjustments can be made front and rear if any. So if you can get to -1.5 front and -1.2 rear. With 0 tow in front and 1/32 total tow in in rear would be good. But if you do a lot of track days you will have to get camber plates...
Good stuff that is exactly what I was try to say but I did not have all that data. Just seat data. So taking it off is the way to go. Plus forces you to be smoother on and off the gas and then makes you better driver.
So here is what I think is happening once you get to hpde4 or TT speed levels. The left rear is where the traction control actuates the pads. So if you see it coming on it will use the left rear fir the stability control correction and smoke those pads faster. Especially on the inside one which...
So I think razorlab us on to something. I too did one click for many events as I did not know how to hold it down until Vsa off comes on. So if you are getting to the edge of tires then you feel the traction control kicking in and some indicators on dash.
Interesting. So I have went through a lot of pads rotors and even swapped out to big Brakes Granted I am in tt3 so are definitely using brakes pretty hard. Would normally get 6 to 7 track days out of pads.
So another track topic. Has anyone experienced excessive left rear brake pad wear. I think I know why but am interested in what others have experienced.
So it has been quiet. Maybe this will get the conversations going. So for any of you who are still signing up for your first track days or you did your first one I am interested in what you would like to have structure or event wise so you all would do more than the free one. We had discussed...
Back it off or you will blow the turbo especially if you track it and run full sessions at those levels. You may get away with short pulls on the street for awhile but it is not worth it. I would not go past about 18 if you really want it to last.
It is a great wing. Expensive but have had it about a year. I can still drive it on the street but it does draw a lot of attention as it is a full on race wing. Carbon fiber. Here is a pic of the car if it helps. I put it on so was not that hard but you do have to drill holes in your trunk. I...
I quit counting after about 20k. All spl contol arms. KW V4 club sport coil overs, apex 18x10 wheels 2 sets, studs, 15 “ big brake kit 6 piston , 14” 4 piston rear, Eibach sway bars from and rear, spl end links, Verus; rear wing, Side body panels, front brake cooling ducts, front drive planes...
Well you can get a gt4 Supra. Full track car. From Gazoo racing if you really want one. Just a little pricey. We have a local person who has one and races it at the professional level. He came over at one of our events and was looking at what I had done to mine so got to chat a bit about the...
Yes I went way down the rabbit whole (lol) but it has been fun. Met a lot new people and am enjoying working on the car and making it better. So the Supra is a great platform right out of the box. You do not have to do everything I have done to track it but as you go faster of course you will...
I did 36 track days my first year. Took NASA comp school in Oct 21. And started instructing in Dec 21. Feb 22 took the PCA instructing school and also am a national instructor for them. I used to race motocross, and off-road but had not raced cars. Total track days since starting in Jan...
