I would also add that this car set up right is a very capable car - I have beat or keep up with many Porsche GT3's etc even a full race one from time to time. So they hate being bested by a Toyota :) You cannot keep up with the full on 450 hp+ ones but look at the difference in price. So...
I do not know how to do the spread sheet thing. I also would add that there are no dumb questions related to getting out and doing track days. I did my first one ever with this car in Jan 2021, in fact the free track day is how I ended up with all of this. I now am also an instructor with...
All - I do not do a lot of these Forum things but figured I would try to start a thread for those that are Track Addicts like me and want to learn from each other on our track experience no matter what level you are. These cars are great track cars and everyone should take them out and enjoy...
That is funny as I actually had a beast sticker made as someone else called it the beast but I took it off when I made the new end plate so do not have a pic. Also I blew a turbo so do not recommend playing around with boost as the cars are fast enough . I have a charge pipe. Catless down...
Agree these are the fastest 100 treadwear. Nangkang ar1 are really close but would put the maxxis at 1 sec faster. And they last if you get camber set up. I have played around with this as well. So far -.2.8 front and-2.6 rear with 0 tow front and 1/32 total tow in in rear has been good. tire...
Great. I run tt3 NASA time trial with car officially classed etc. have tried a lot of tires as well. I use apex 18” x10 square set up. So 275/35/18. So happy to share any questions on tires etc. the car now has 64 track day events on it !
Also I have tried many different pads and rotors and even went to a 15” big brake kit 6 piston front and 14” 4 piston rear. Basically all end up in the same temp range. 1000 to 1200 degrees on track. They come off track at about 600 to 700. So this is past the heat range of most street /...
It sounds like rotors. If they are fairly new you could try to have them turned. Should be able to do this if they are solid ones. Or just with slots. I just got a back up set as my big brake kit rotors cracked. So put the stock ones back on for now. What pads are you running front and rear...
Spl is the place to look. They make nice arms. And I believe just the eccentric bolts as well. I have all spl arms front and rear. Most alignment shops however do not know how to use them and will leave bolts loose etc and even try to adjust wrong arms. so I always have to check everything...
I have tried a lot of compounds with hawk. Both in stock calipers and a big brake kit. Rears for stock were harder to find but Hawk Direct can get them. Everyone always says less aggressive in rear. But after a lot of pads/ rotors etc I think you would be happy with same pads front and rear ...
One thing to look at is the spring clearance inside the front strut towers. Stock control arms do not have much adjustment. So if the camber changed a bit by lowering the springs, they may sometimes rub on the ribs inside the shock tower especially when turned close to full lock. Also check...
I have all spl arms and camber plates. But with sport springs on stock shocks. So have played around with a lot of camber settings etc. with stock springs you cannot get more than -3 in front without rubbing the strut tower ribs.
I am not sure how far you can go without camber plates and lower...
