I am also glad that a few others have done the verus hood vent - just needed to get past cutting a hole in your brand new hood.... I also put vented fenders and cut out the wheel well/ screened it. Again trying to manage brake heat. Here is a pic so for those going full track mode.
Mine is always sand blasted. I made the air dam on mine out of aluminum. Have painted several times with truck bed stuff just ends up back like this. Not a show car(lol) but hopefully a go car!
sounds like your tracks have a little longer straight as i have not been able to get past about 130 on any of ours. But it is not just about straight away speed. But corners! Hence the wing so my set up for tt3; Car is heavy and discussed earlier in thread. So my current NASA class sheet is...
I have had the Verus wing for a year. You really should not have to adjust. Flat is good. I went up and down and really did not make a noticeable difference. We also took off and it had a 2 sec impact even on tighter technical track. So still has an impact at corner speeds in the 50 to 60 mph...
I was referring to the weight rating on the strut shock. I think each has to be stronger to lift the whole trunk and wing. So will have to get them stronger than what ever they are stock. So is lifting the total weight of the trunk and wing
I am not familiar with those compounds. But I have tried stronger compounds on the rear and softer on the front and it works ok so if you have them can always try them.
Those tires are good starter choice to drive to and from track and do some track days. The camber should help so you do not...
I just ran yesterday - 70 in rear( big brake kit so they had pad shape in this compound) and stock front with dtc60 - so works the best so far - helps balance out getting the rear brake working a bit more with all the computer stuff sending more to the front. So just need to find a supplier...
Well big brake kit for most is not needed or worth the big $ in terms of benefits. I tried Neo Motorsport as they were on the NASA member benefits list last year - now they are not. Complete waste of money and time. The front rotor cracked(j grove) they came with after about 2 sets of pads...
Thanks for the info Nibble, good to see there are other Supra owners/Nasa instructors. On the fuel consumption I drive to the track starting out on a full tank 30% Ethanol, mix in tank which is about 45 miles. I bring 18 Gal,. of 30% Ethanol mix and if I run 4 Sessions plus Time Trial, some...
You guys are killing me, I am getting ready for track weekend so will try to describe it briefly. so if you take out the reverse light and then look up under the back there are 2 square cross members that hold the bumper that is where I bolted it too, 2 flat plates and then 2 bolts straight...
A few more pics if trailer. I over achieved. Has solar and 110 inverter. With one battery. Runs my brake fans. Coffee pot chargers etc fir the day. (lol)
Well here is a pic for now. It has fallen off yet so guess it us good. I also custom built trailer from a 4x6 utility trailer. So will take more time on all if that but is pretty slick
Well more to the story. I built a custom trailer hitch for my tire trailer. So that is probably 30 to 40 pounds plus studio rsr role bar. Plus all the strut braces etc so I guess adds up.
Yeah that is best way to take weight out get a skinny driver. I gave not take anything out if car plus added Roll Bar. Min weight for TT is 3640 and that just gets me in tt3. Dyno is at 420 average to rear wheels. I have scales and with full tank and me/178 pounds. It about 3700. So have to...
I figured getting into Brakes discussion would be lively as there is no perfect answer. The car stops fine with stock or big brakes. In my case was not trying to use the Brakes for faster times but just wanted to be able to run my pace for the whole session, without smoking them , and...
Thanks - see I new someone smarter than me would jump in! So this makes sense. If you put a stronger pad on the front then with the way it brakes the rears are not working as hard. So basically putting a stronger pad rear, and lighter front balances it a bit, even with those same pressures...
I forgot that I have the big brake kit on rear and have been able to get DTC 60 and DTC 70. For stock, I could not find higher than dtc30. Someone should try to find a source that will order them from Hawk as they can make them. In the mean time then DTC 60 are available for the front and the...
