Fuel was the biggest limiter and then the water to air intercooler came in at a close second. Note the port injection provisions and fuel rail.
You can improve the heat rejection with an upgraded heat exchanger but that stock intercooler core inside the intake manifold can only flow so much on...
Seriously what a rookie driver. Boost hits and he just let's the car swing around, these damn people are going to make our insurance go up when they start seeing a lot of wrecks with the car. Stop the madness!
Yes and sorry for the delay but I have been working non-stop on the car since Thursday. So these are the new modifications:
Turbosmart Eboost2
Tial 50mm BOV
Snow Performance Stage 3 kit
Deutsch Connectors for all wiring
Kooks Catback Exhaust System
We were having an issue with the previous...
Here's the part # FHP30-A901
This was designed as a direct bolt-in part.
So the radiator and heat exchanger are both held in just like an E46 in how two plastic shells hold the coolers and it sits in a rubber mount. Any upgraded heat exchanger will require the three tabs on the front of the...
Thank you so much for being very detailed in your responses. I am in the same place you are with my 9280. We are at the 22psi mark without any fueling issues and will be turning it to 23-24psi tomorrow morning. I have a stage 3 Snow Meth kit to supplement when fueling is an issue but it looks...
Haha. Me too brother. I'm just waiting to see the final non-meth graph and then I'll post it up. They look pretty awesome so far though. At 3500 rpm it's already more than 400ft-lbs and it comes in hard 500+ around 3600-3700 which is impressive. My tuner is just being conservative on adding in...
Thanks man.
The tires are 305-35-19 Mickey Thompsons and the front tires are the old rear tires (275's)
To be honest it needs 30 profile tires to not piss the car off and I'll eventually switch but all my money is going to finish this big turbo build. I'm not fully settled on the ride height...
We got it! Finally they were able to break through the issues with closures and limp mode. We got a full clean pull at 14psi and at 20psi. These are just baseline runs and we still have more psi and more timing to go for numbers. I can tell you it's making 550 tq before 4krpm which means this...

Engine bay would be easiest so I can hide the relay and have easy access to the pump and 12v Hot. I'm particularly interested in the wiring going to the internal wastegate harness since they are free now but I am open to any options because my car is 45 minutes away so I don't have access right...
Well the main problem is at the power levels that require the port injection the stock intercooler in the intake manifold becomes a restriction so that's why it needs a new intake manifold either way. I should have some updates on this before the end of the year hopefully. :)
I'm working on that too but it's also a heavy project and requires:
1. A completely new intake manifold and deleting the water to air system which also cools the A/C (No condenser on the front) and going to air to air and having to route all of that piping and build a front mount. To keep A/C...
I'm not worried about an amp draw, I'm using a relay and that wire would be hooked directly to the battery. I just need a 12v switch to power my relay which barely draws any amps.
I don't mind tapping wires it's just trying to find one that gets a 12v switch signal. Maybe on the radar sensor...
