  1. What did you do to your Supra today?

Installed rear reflector deletes and Amazon gloss black exhaust tips. As @a91crbn mentioned, you can install the rear reflector deletes with the car on the ground and not have to remove the bumper. You can use a stronger pry tool and remove them from the outside. I did this successfully with...
  2. What can I use as a ground?

I just did this last week. Pretty sure I used this bolt. Put the ground in between the head of the bolt and the washer.
  3. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Lower price points but GTIs and Golf Rs.
  4. What did you do to your Supra today?

Timing couldn’t be better. I was about to do this tonight or tomorrow morning. I’ve read you can pop them out from the outside with a pry tool. If going with your method, can it be done without raising the car at all?
  5. Used Supra Prices

2022s didn’t really start becoming available until late 2021. If 2023s offer a manual option, that pattern could continue, and we won’t see them until late 2022. And even then, we still don’t know what trim levels will have a manual, so that could impact demand. If it’s 2.0 or 3.0 base only, not...
  6. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Many current platforms already exhibit this pattern, for sure. Performance autos in the last 10 years are game changing. If that’s true, it already shows how MT models won’t be able to hand an OTS map (or JB4) without a clutch upgrade. Agreed. But choice is good and manuals may mean we can...
  7. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

I also don’t imagine that it will be bulletproof and handle more than the ZF8 before requiring an upgrade. I wonder how much of this was a really long term plan vs. reacting to the new Z. If it’s the latter, I wonder if the MT will be more of a base spec (maybe even 2.0 only?) option to get the...
  8. What did you do to your Supra today?

    The sooner the better.
  9. Cost to own a Supra

Alright, well, 2020s went on sale the summer of 2019, so most will be running up on their basic warranty within the next year depending on when it was sold. Sounds like you’re tuning/modding, so powertrain warranty is out the window. OE oil filters are $12.99. This is one of BMW’s most...
  10. Cost to own a Supra

Everyone here has raised valid points, but could you clarify what you’re looking at purchasing (age/mileage) and how long you’ll keep it? Getting one with lots of warranty left with a plan to own for 2-3 years would be different than going with a higher mileage (that being about 30k right now)...
  11. What did you do to your Supra today?

Could have sprung for the Phoneflash upgrade!
  12. Thoughts on Firehawk Indy 500

Without repeating what others have said, I think they are the best tire “for the price”. I buy them repeatedly for my GTI which saw drag/autocross regularly. I don’t feel like they last as long as some of the slightly higher priced options, but that’d be my only complaint (take it with a grain...
  13. What did you do to your Supra today?

Installed interior LEDs. Amazon Aura OPT7 per one of the threads here on this forum tapped into fuse F62. These are on the dimmest setting but “night mode” on my phone camera brightens it up a bit. The orange is a bit lighter than the rest of the interior orange, so I’ll leave it on red most...
  14. Supra Coding Step By Step

Did you choose Z4 and not Supra?
  15. What did you do to your Supra today?

What are your thoughts on the color match between the 4th brake light and tail lights? Were you able to install without removing the bumper?
  16. Horn Question / Replaced ‘Clown Car’ Horn

This video shows you how to wire it. Just power and ground.
  17. What did you do to your Supra today?

Bench unlocked ECU is back in (Thanks, Visconti!) + Blackline start button.
  18. Best axle-back exhaust...

I don’t disagree with you, and while the scenario you’ve described is typically true, I’m just encouraging everyone to not always feel like they’re in the clear. For what it’s worth, I cut up the stock exhaust for an axle back on my (current) GTI specifically for the warranty reasons discussed...
  19. Best axle-back exhaust...

Since it’s a bolt on part, you could always swap back to stock for dealer visits/warranty claims. And dealers could always claim that cutting up the exhaust “modified the powertrain”, for what it’s worth.
  20. Pics & Vids of Supra with aftermarket wheels

I agree with what Tapis said regarding sidewall ratios. However, I bet those who are running 275/35 in the front did what I did and moved their OEM rears up front to save some money and not waste perfectly fine tires. I did 295/35s in the back (because ratios), though, but my rears are 10.5...
