  1. Question about timing of getting your tune done after purchasing

I’m aware and provided experience from tuners on other platforms. OP mentioned he needed an unlock, so I made a suggestion for that, too. ??
  2. Question about timing of getting your tune done after purchasing

I had my recall-locked 2020 ecu bench unlocked this week by Visconti. Price includes overnight shipping both ways. Highly recommended.
  3. Question about timing of getting your tune done after purchasing

Can’t get an email response from Ecutek or your tuner? I’m guessing it’s the latter? I am currently having a similar issue with a non-responsive tuner. Just went with a different tuner, and I’m fighting for a refund now. Will chargeback on my credit card if it comes down to it. With that...
  4. What did you do to your Supra today?

12v plug or connected into the fuse box? I’m a fan. The Supra interior is too dark.
  5. Mirror color and texture

My stock mirror caps were textured. Yours are gloss?
  6. Maxton front lip spoiler

Pro tip - I ordered my maxton lip (not installed yet) from their EU site and received it within a month (while it’s still listed as preorder on the US site). Also saved $20+. Just use a credit card that doesn’t have foreign transaction fees.
  7. Maxton front lip spoiler

You could order gloss and wrap it in clear matte, if needed. Not sure if you can go the other way and make a matte surface glossy. Does the gloss/matte contrast on the mirror cap vs a-pillar bother you (assuming you have the matte mirror caps)?
  8. ECU update

If you really don’t want to get it done, you don’t have to. There’s a recall bulletin that describes exactly what causes the issue and what to expect if you’ve triggered that issue, so just avoid that sequence of actions and be aware of what it feels like if you triggered the issue. My wife...
  9. ECU update

I took mine in for the brake recall fix. I picked a dealership near me that had multiple Supra techs and had confirmed success with this fix on prior cars. Full screen CarPlay is nice. Bench unlocking the ecu for tuning is inconvenient but not the worst thing in the world.
  10. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

Also consider that the Supra has a few years of documented reliability/issues. You basically know what you’re walking into. Even if you manage to get into a Z without paying a crazy premium, you’re looking at a first year model which could be stout or a major headache. I remember some shop...
  11. For those wondering about fitment of TE37SL with 305/30s

Serious question - why not in the bed?
  12. What did you do to your Supra today?

Did the same mod today. Wasn’t washed, though.
  13. Bench Unlock in Central Florida?

I’m hopeful that you’re right about Titan, but I see B58 Ecutek licenses on their own for $500+ and Titan themselves charges an extra $900 for OTS tune and license. If they could just include an Ecutek license in a $350 unlock, I can’t see them charging $900 for just an OTS tune in the other...
  14. Bench Unlock in Central Florida?

I was just reading about Visconti’s unlock and they said they ā€œcan’t easily load a license from another tuner.ā€ I wonder if Titan will claim the same thing (I have a license from a remote tuner). I might just have to suck it up and ship my dme to that tuner to be extra sure everything goes...
  15. Bench Unlock in Central Florida?

Much appreciated and very timely. I asked them multiple times whether their unlocks are compatible with Ecutek (knowing that bflash is required) and they seemed confident. After reading this, I’m just going to have to commit to going to Titan and having my downpipe installed elsewhere OR see if...
  16. What did you do to your Supra today?

My other car regularly gets to an IAT of 140F if it’s hot out, the car is up to temp, and I’m sitting still. In FL FWIW. IATs while driving are more important (X degrees above ambient).
  17. What did you do to your Supra today?

I went out and checked. The chips are primarily on the fender with the door sills coming in second in terms of area affected. There are just a few chips on the lower rocker panel that you’re mentioning, and there are *no* chips on the door itself.
