Also consider that the Supra has a few years of documented reliability/issues. You basically know what you’re walking into.
Even if you manage to get into a Z without paying a crazy premium, you’re looking at a first year model which could be stout or a major headache.
I remember some shop swapped a VR30 into a 370z, and their major concern and issue was cooling. While I’m sure Nissan sorted that out for stock power levels, we have no indication if the cooling is adequate for mild tuning let alone track use.
If you plan on tuning/tracking, you have to decide whether getting the new shiny thing is worth being the guinea pig.
